Bring in delon wright instead of cam Payne when Brunson goes out. At the very least he can probably make Schroeder more uncomfortable out there and guard both positions
Baf: Heat Culture

Ayo dosunmu | AirPod | Shead
Devin Booker | Isaac Okoro
Demar Derozan | Haywood Highsmith
Jabari Smith Jr |Harrison Barnes | Achiuwa
KAT | Brook Lopez | Kornet

If Jeff Van Gundy can bring Childs, Sprewell and Camby off the bench, then Thibs can do something similar for this squad and mix it up:

PG: Brunson
SG: Deuce
SF: OG
PF: KAT
C: Mitch

Payne, Hart, Bridges, Precious (Shamet is needed).

Our problem isn't defense when Brunson isn't on the floor though.

I suspect that Brunson rushed his recovery to be eligible for All-NBA. And it's clear to me Hart has abandoned his responsibilities on defense to chase rebounds and collect triple doubles.

For whatever reason, the Nova guys have been empowered to chase individual records over the greater benefit of the team this year.

Perhaps the organization is too far gone in terms of nepotism.

Meanwhile Mikal has been coasting all year and we all know he will find a renewed commitment to defense in a contract year next season.

There have been issues across the roster of course, but the Nova group has been fairly disappointing this year imo.

Enjoy the game fellas. Anxiously awaiting Thibs demise!!

how many dramatic exits are we getting exactly?

Dramatic exits? I never said I was going anywhere. None. Try again.

The team is going nowhere as well with this HC. Why waste another minute of life watching this inept fool squander away these dudes careers?

Fire Thibs

You don't find the timing of his return (and the subsequent ankle problems) suspicious? For me it's obvious he returned in time to be eligible for All-NBA honors, and possibly at the expense of a full recovery.

His defense has also slipped this year to the point where he's undoubtedly one of the worst defenders in the NBA.

He also has not adjusted his game for sustained periods to get the best out of KAT and the players around him.

He's a fantastic offensive player and a warrior, and we're lucky to have him. But yes, I do think he's had a disappointing season.

Melo got a lot of flack (arguably a disproportionate amount) for the same issues (except Brunson doesn't lack in leadership), and while I think Melo's harshest critics took it way too far back in the day, I don't see any reason why Brunson should be spared any form of critique, just like Melo deserved to be fairly critiqued.

guys in the spirit of nuanced basketball discussion we gotta be able to point out elements of the brunson era that should be tweaked or addressed because we want to maximize the potential of our window built around him

Brunson is just the Gucchi brand Trey Burke at this point.
