Jones demoted
Gregory is the new GM
which means just a lackey for Ishbia
Two predictions:
1) Ishbia will do something stupid with Beal - like attach picks - emphasis pickS

2) The Durant trade will be a 3 team trade that brings back an overpaid veteran who probably won't mesh well with Booker but it will look like he's trying!

Nice move, I liked that we retained James Jones.

Gambo:

Josh Bartelstein will remain CEO of the Suns. Brian Gregory will report directly to owner Matt Ishbia.

Jones contract expires on June 30
If I had to guess, he will not with the Suns on July 1

I should be positive but if the past is any indication - it will be a a bunch of moves that really don't mesh as to building a proper roster. Just a bunch of "hey, look at us!"

Feels like dark days are ahead for the Suns, if they're not already here. Hiring an Ishbia crony (literally his old assistant coach) with less than one year of NBA front office experience and a bunch of mediocre college coaching experience to run the team without doing an extensive GM search should make it pretty clear to every Suns fan who is and has been calling the shots. Probably safe to assume our next coach will have some connection to Michigan State too. Already preparing myself for a ridiculous offseason and another unenjoyable year of Suns basketball.

So what stupid trades can Ishbia do - Mine is this

They will consider keeping Durant and seeing if Beal would go to Philly for Paul George. So they can run it back with Booker, Durant and PG13. Under the notion that PG13 would work better with Booker and Durant than Beal did. On top of that, they will add a FRP to make it happen

James Jones will work on the Suns next year as a senior adviser.

I'm sick to my stomach. Classic Ishbia move. Not even a trace of a serious organization. Brace yourselves, winter is coming. No, actually, it's already here.

What a s**t show. He hires one of his MSU cronies instead of an actual GM with experience.

What a joke of a fcking owner.

So what I'm getting is that Ishbia put his buddy in charge of the position that ultimately has all the power in every transaction? He might as well be straightforward and make himself the GM instead of trying to act like this guy isn't just his puppet

Saw this on reddit but yeah 100% accurate.

ChampionshipS! He said plural

Depending on what he does this summer, if he screws this offseason up - will be a long time
