ORL sends: KCP, Jett Howard
MIA sends: Terry Rozier

Offense for Defense...Rozier's deal is slightly larger, but one year shorter than KCP's. Jett's guaranteed money is also a plus for ORL. KCP is a better fit next to Herro...Rozier is only 6'1 and his 3pt shooting plummeted this season, but he's been historically solid. Is he another guy in the frequent group of Simons, Sexton, Coby, CJ, Jerome, DLo, etc that is an occasionally explosive backcourt scorer that is enough of a PG to work well with our lineup?

This would be a horrible trade for us lol. Rozier wasn’t playable & they needed offense badly post Butler trade. Jett hasn’t shown anything but we could keep the possible illusion up & trade him in a better package. I would keep KCP or flip him elsewhere if possible.

Why was he unplayable? Injury? He's been playable his whole career and averaged 25.9 minutes but his scoring dropped almost 50% from the previous year (He averaged 19.7ppg over the previous 5 years). Assists were less than half as well (he averaged 4.7 apg the previous 5 seasons)...most of those numbers were playing with Herro, Bam, and Jimmy, so it's not like he's going crazy on a tanking team.

any idea what happened last season?

lol there’s also that. He’s had an ankle injury I believe but his minutes were all over the place & he was highly inconsistent shooting. I wouldn’t help Miami improve any.

They definitely won’t be going “not one, not two, not three” over the trade but I assure you we won’t be feeling like Rozier solved any of our issues either lol.

he could 1) revert to his previous offensive performance or 2) expire or even be bought out if he sucks, saving us all that dough

Miami has a greater chance of unlocking whatever false skillset Jett has & restoring KCP’s shooting than Rozier reverting back to being relevant. Also saving dough for what? It’s not like they’ll be under the cap all of a sudden. Might as well try & convince a playoff team that KCP can fill a need.

DLo at around $14m. Mccollum might be better. He makes more and is older.

I don’t think DLo is a good basketball player.

Is there even going to be 14 million for Dlo out there? That's the full MLE and nobody has cap space. I'm thinking some of these bench guards should be bargains (in addition to making a trade).

Cole, Isaac, and Jett would be equal to Cam and DLo at $14m.

I really just like Cam Johnson. I have a feeling the Celtics may end up with him in a trade for Brown this summer.

We could have extracted way more when they were trying to shed Beal for Jimmy Butler. This makes me think it won't happen in any shape or form.

Beal has no trade clause, can't move him without him agreeing on trade. That's why Suns didn't trashed him back to Wizards, who showed interest in getting him back.

Coby White and Cam Johnson have the easier contracts to trade for. We could just flip Cole and two firsts.

Jett, Goga , TDS, or Caleb, and two firsts for Cam.

Love this, though i´d prefer to trade only one future 1sts together with this years. We are going to need cheap rookies for depth soon.

Simons may be the player who wants to be here the most, and I think that matters in trades. He may agree to a reasonable contract extension to come here.

How do we match salaries? If we traded Isaac, then Simons could have #1.

GB asked, would we do a WCJ for Reaves swap?
