36 picks vs the 20th pick, 2030, and 2032

That can't be first round picks can it? Its still a lot either way, but if its including second rounders its not AS impressive, its 22 extra picks over that time frame. Still definitely better position to be in than we are for a rebuild.

I'd do 3/120 and walk away from the table, take it or leave it. I think he's always going to be at best a second option on a contender and 40 for a second option that has to be covered defensively is fair.

Think we should draft Nique Clifford and let Herro play out the next two years of deal. Wish him luck getting paid that in free agency.

They have actual assets to make that move and still keep the core of Fox and Wemby. We can make an offer for Giannis but it would take Bam, Herro, Ware which defeats the point.

If he's okay doing 30-35 per year, I would do it. Otherwise do nothing. We have him for 2 more seasons so no need to lock him now if the numbers are not in Heat's favor. At the end of the day, we know he wants to stay here. So if he makes a huge leap next 2 seasons and this goes to FA, pay him the max and he'll stay.

For the KD plan A people, what’s plan B?

KD plan A if the price is right. Plan B is 2026 opportunistic reset and not committing to high cost long-term deals until then.

There may be other options worth exploring this offseason tho. So I wouldn't necessarily just call KD plan A. It's just seemingly more realistic than others.

If that's plan B, best to lose a lot of games next season no?

why should we even want him though.

He's trash on the other side of the floor, and he can be completely shut down offensively because he's not that guy. Just because the HEAT backed him doesn't make him that guy.

Move on. Pay 30-35 to someone who can actually play some defense

Agreed tbh. I would much rather be going into a summer Giannis Ja Zion KD etc. are available with the most assets we possibly could, we’re looking a lot better with a top 10 pick right now

30-35 is not realistic. He is making 30 now and the cap is going up. I think 3/120 might be a good starting point, knowing our front office more like 3/135. That way he gets 45 mil a year flat. We need to remember real Max player are going to be getting paid near 80 mil + when the new tv deal goes into effect in that time frame. Just ignore the sticker shock and go with the cap %.
