We’re drafting the next Jalen Brunson/Jamal Murray at our biggest position of need

I really hope he test well in workouts cause he was the Steph Curry of the tournament.

WCJ would be a nice get at our pick, if he's still there.

On another note, looks like lerbon unfollowed the flakers on IG...

Supposedly, the plan is to have Herro, Bam, and KD play together.

If Riley’s really putting Bam on the table for KD, the Suns would close that deal faster than Swifties crash Ticketmaster.

Who the heck said Bam for KD? That’s absolute non sense lol.

C Ware
PF Bam
SF Durant
SG Herro
PG TBD

This will be the primary core. Once Duncan’s ETO hits and depending what they want to do with Mitchell they will have close to 19 million in space to fill out the roster. That’s full MLE and Bi annual money.

What is the point of that line up? We would have been better off paying jimmy.. it’s a desperation move that still most likely won’t be a title contender and gives us only a 1-2 year window.. need to get players who fit the timeline.. not a Hail Mary durant move
If everybody keeps Evolving, just a little bit more...kd, bam, Herro, ware, Mitchell... It's a title contender...You have to admit

But the suns are not that stupid to let go of Kd for nothing...the luka Trade was an averation, something going on there behind the scenes

I'd do 3/120 and walk away from the table, take it or leave it. I think he's always going to be at best a second option on a contender and 40 for a second option that has to be covered defensively is fair.

Hes a sixth man on a contender.. i say let him test free agency, and come back to us to see if we can match wnd give him the extra year that only we can offer

This is definitely the way. I like Herro but he’a no where near a max worthy player. Let somebody else be the dummies that pay him 50 per a year.

Yeah I'm a big Herro supporter but 50m/year is pushing it. But then again idk, I mean, if 3 years from now 50m is the new '40m', then I think it might make sense.

50 million better be the new 20 million for it to make sense. League salary Cap needs to be at 450 million

Can I get $50 million? It’s really only $40 million guys. Barely enough to feed my family if I shop at Fresh Market.

Disclaimer - I like Herro's balls and the fact that he's a worker and really improved.

Herro is simply too limited to get one of the biggest contracts on a contender.

When you factor in the really bad defense, the creating limitations and injury concerns - that's the type of player you just can't invest huge money in if you're serious about contending.

He's just not good enough to lead an offense, sadly.

The smart play is to save your huge contracts for 2 way players, or a real offensive engine type that can create against good defenses.

Herro is the type of player that a contender replaces with a player making 20% of his money and gives you 80% of his production.

It is what it is.

A Herro extension that wouldn’t even kick in until his peak years doesnt really concern me

Jalen Brunson $24,960,001 $34,944,001 $37,739,521 $40,535,041 $43,330,561
Tyler Herro $29,000,000 $31,000,000 $33,000,000

I'd give him smth. close to 40m, that is where Brunson will be and I think Herro isn't too far off from Brunson.
At the end of the day you want him to be on a contract, which can be moved. Not be an albatross like LaVine or Beal nobody wants.

I say we tell him that he can test free agency and then come back to us to match ... and then we change all the locks and change our number.

I'm not a big Herro supporter. I'm tired of watching a mid player dominate the ball and the shots every damn season.

I want him off this team. I couldn't care less about salary. I want this POS gone.

Career regular season: 44.8% FG ... 56.9% TS% ... 19.4 ppg

Career postseason: 41.4% FG ... 52.3% TS% ... 14.6 ppg ... in 50 career postseason games

Get him out of here. Get him out of my face.

Tyler can go play in San Francisco so Jimmy can help him win.

As usual, Zach Lowe is on point.

Bam shouldn't be the guy that a contending team is reliant on to generate offense or be a lead scorer. With that, Bam is inarguably a top 5 defender in the NBA year-in and year-out. Among the tried and true top group of elite defenders in the NBA, Bam has produced the most offense over the past few seasons of any of them that aren't named Anthony Davis or Giannis. That is insanely valuable. And if Bam can become a reliable threat to pull the trigger on all open 3 pt looks and hit at an average rate, then his complementary game goes to new heights.

I'll take a ~top 20 player with Bam's skillset to pair with a top 10 offensive engine any day over a ~top 20 player that is just more offense and lacks in all the other areas that are needed to win games.

Nothing should be off the table in terms of trades and builds for the Heat's current situation, but that def doesn't mean I'm about to discount Bam's value in the NBA.
