Let’s end this absurd debate. Both are movable. AB has a better return.

I like AB but I’m trading him for a better shooter/ playmaker if it’s on the table.
We could trade Franz for Booker. He's a better shooter and then trade Moe for Cam Johnson.

Suggs
Booker
Cam
Paolo
Wendell

I wouldn’t. Good luck with that.

The only way I would trade Franz is if we get a younger talent in the draft and possibly get below the cap again!

Advanced stats show Franz at 28 points 6 boards and 5 assist on 31% usage TS% 55.8

Deni Avdija 22 points 9 rebounds and 5 assist on only 24% usage with a TS% 60.5

Franz will make $38M and $41M the next two seasons.

Avdija will make $14M and $13M the next two seasons.

Thats the type of player you think of trading Franz for, the true stats suggest he’s at least scoring wise every bit of Franz BUT he’s also shooting 36.5% from the 3 point line. You do all you can to get Advija and Simons .

I think a guy like Malik Beasley could help. Very high level outside shooter that doesn't do much outside of shooting and scoring, but he doesn't turn the ball over either. He'd be like an idealized version of Cole.

He has probably earned a pretty big contract though. I'd imagine he wants more than the MLE somewhere.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I mean this in the most respectful way, but how long is it going to take or exactly what needs to happen for people to comprehend that Suggs is not viable longterm solution at PG?

He is often compared to Derrick White, but in actuality is more in the mold of Marcus Smart. Plays erratic, not a true PG and eventually his style of play will be a detriment to the team (if it isn’t already). I love Suggs and agree that he’s the pulse of the team, but we shouldn’t be relying on him as our PGOTF even more now with his injury (that by all reports IS going to be a lingering longterm concern).

If only basketball was so black and white.

You’re completely overlooking team construction, role, usage, coaching style. You simply can’t just box watch and think you figured it out.

Then it’s a perfect opportunity for Orlando to ask about the availability of Ivey.

Franz, imo is just better than Booker today...and even more so tomorrow.

Booker is great, btw. Suggs for Booker in heartbeat.

What do you all think about bringing in CJ McCollum, shouldn’t take too many assets and he can be a rich man’s COJO Cole hybrid. Giving us the veteran steadiness of a COJO with the microwave scoring ability of Cole.

Veteran ball handler averaging 5.7 asts a game, career 40% 3p shooter on good volume.

Has experience playing 2nd and 3rd fiddle to Brandon Ingram, Zion and Dame in the past, while possessing the ability to carry the scoring load for long stretches when needed.

JI, Jett, Den 1st for CJ

CJ/AB/Cole
Suggs/KCP
Franz/TDS/Caleb
Paolo/M. Wagner

I'd be okay with it he agreed to a reasonable extension. Maybe an extra 2 yrs $30m.

Coby White, Simons, Sexton, and CJ are all extension eligible, and that would probably be worked out before the trade.

Poole has 2 years left, but I guess it's possible to give him an extension now.

Black was our youngest draft pick since Aaron Gordon. That's how abnormal it is to get a player that young.
