Yes, we should pass on Cooper Flagg because next year we can just draft 22 yr old Michael Rataj.

Why do you think 23 year olds are anchient? lmao. Never understood the logic there... NFL teams LIVE drafting 22 year olds.NBA is just a league that allows teens so subconsciously its the norm... Noone said cooper flagg is bad. I am saying imo he aint CLEAR CUT GOOD so why not try and trade back a spot or two *something teams are willing to do if they covet a player* for what we NEED and get insurance as well...

We are pretty good at the forward spot with Brandon/Miles/Grant Williams.

We only have one guard (LaMelo) who gets hurts some. We need at least 2, but probably 3 nba level guards.

There is noboby we can count on at center really. Moose is third string quality until he gets his ft% to 70.

So to stop the rebuild and compete we need a min of 2 guards, one starting quality and one 6th man type quality, and one starting quality center.

Because your logic of liking some guy who might not even get drafted next year as a good reason to pass on Flagg is terrible logic lol

My logic isn't liking someone who might not get drafted my logic is picking a NEED now and selecting a player who might not get drafted who I think is good to play in a PF spot that we already have decent talent at in Miles and Diabate as well as Salmons

Totally agree that is why I want to target SG with either Dylan or VJ and Center with Raynaud

If Cooper Flagg is available you take him 100/100 times. We are a terrible team, passing on easily the best talent in the draft to select for need would be a terrible process. Especially when if we don't improve half the players on the team might not even be here by the end of the year.

Now if we land pick 4/5 and the talent level is more flat then yeah we can fight over how much fit/position matters. My guess is that if we end up picking 1,2 or 3. We will likely have a pretty good idea of who we are picking at least a month before the draft.

Ok, I like Cooper Flagg soo I have little problem with taking him if we get number 1... But I GUARANTEE you there will be a few players in this draft better than him and he isn't a CLEAR CUT FAVORITE like Cade, Lebron Shaq were so with that said I would rather take what I KNOW WE NEED rather than pick him with no additional pieces in play... But if we do pick him I wont be upset at all I would just rather get a SG because we don't even know who the SG is on our team which is sad. I had to google it to find out and STILL didn't get the answer lol

BTW although I like the flagg pick I am taking my name out of the ones who are in SUPPORT of the flagg pick... I would rather Dylan, VJ or Richardson

Winning the #2 pick is also like winning the Flagg sweepstakes. I have both Flagg/Harper in the same tier as prospects.

Harper reminds me of Cade and Harden mixed.

Yeah I can definitely see both players in his game. He's not quite the shooter those guys are, but he should get better with time.

It would be sooo Hornets to get #1, and trade back from getting a transformational player like Flagg. Anything can happen to any draft pick, but Flagg isn’t just a sum of his skill set. By all accounts he is a lethal ALPHA competitor, tough as they come, plays through pain, refuses to back down, works his ass off on the court, in the gym, DOESN’T SETTLE OR SURRENDER. Flagg is how you cement a culture change in this team. Harper is good, but can he be great? Does he bring this lead dog approach to a team? I’d definitely take Harper second, but I can’t envision any trade back scenario for #1 short of getting #2 AND a proven star player in a swap…plus future picks…and that obviously depends on who that star is.

As for NEED, you don’t worry about position when drafting Flagg. He fits right in with Miles, Mark, Melo and Miller. Cooper is likely to play his best playing as and guarding 3’s. He doesn’t have the bulk (yet) to bang with beefy PF’s, and frankly may never. Thats OK, he will facilitate and impact all over the court.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Not going to lie, Raynaud looks really good. I could see him rising up some boards to the 15-20 range.

No chance we trade the #1 pick.

Not like there are any players Giannis who would come to play for a losing organization like Charlotte anyway.

I do however think we could trade picks 4-7 range for a Zion.

If we don't get a SG in this draft thats cool cause my pick in next years draft is Brayden Burrows... But this years SG class is not that deep. That is one reason I really like VJ. For some reason SG is a position that is scarce nowadays...

My best available *in the late first / 2nd round* are
Kam Jones, Chaz Lanier, Max Shulga, John Tonje, Will Richard, Caleb Love, Curtis Jones,

Next years SG class for me is good -
Brayden Burrows, Andrej Stojakovic, Dash Daniels, Wesley Yates lll, Zaide Lowery, Paul McNeal, Oziyah Sellers, Braeden Shrewsberry, JJ Starling, Richie Saunders, Andrej Kostic

Miles Byrd might not be a bad option for SG 2nd round. I think he declared but is keeping his eligibilty open... I will bump him to number 1 on SG depth for us 2nd round if he stays in...
