Denver 4-4 in game 7.

Clippers 4-5 losing the last 3.

Ooof.

they beat Dallas in 7 in 2021- wasn't that the last game 7 they played?

Also noted by moi. But Kris was also a giant all year. Just ran out of gas I think.

Hated the prevent offense late in the 4th. Thank god Norm hit that three to put it away. Instant results swapping Dunn out with Batum. Why did he wait until game 6 for this to happen? I get not showing your entire hand, but come on. Kawhi, Harden, and Norm balled out. Zu with the D on Jokic and a good minutes from DJJ.

Game 7!! Anything can happen. Hopefully Harden isn't too gassed. Batum as a starter might be the magic elixer and I got a feeling Kawhi the Killer is going to show up on Saturday. Let's Go!!

playing not to lose in the 4th was actually playing to lose. doesn't make me feel great that we needed a clutch 3 from powell but what can you do as a fans?

agree about batum. instant results and it felt like the obvious move for a while now. right away adelman clearly signaled a major priority that carried over since last game: gordon swapping to and overpowering dunn and bogi when possible. lue let dunn get cooked a little too long on that end, only for bogi to start getting cooked too and give up excessive fouls (again). and getting abused like that turned into immediate impact with batum starring in his role.

i guess to lue's credit he limited both their minutes, but of course that means batum put in a heavy workload. and i'm not feeling great about game 7 with harden and batum playing this many minutes - and now switching back to the denver air.

Saw the last 7 minutes at the bar after Kickball stressful but glad they came in clutch. Let's kill them in game 7!!!

I have been saying about changing the lineup. Glad Ty Lue did it.

Batum to replace Dunn has always been the answer...

Harden is gassed. I hope Kawhi gives us a G2 performance in G7.

Batum hadn't played 30 minutes in a game all year until tonight. By intention. Nico is 36 years old. He might be ruined for a week. Ty knew just what he was doing---all year. He hit the Batum button in the ELIMINATION GAME. Just hope there's more in the tank for Game 7.

BEFORE the All-Star Break, Dunn was a plus+5.5 per 100 possessions, 4th on the Clippers. He held us up most of the year but is now out of gas. And Ty had Batum all fueled up and ready to go.

Frankly, I'm surprised Kawhi has even PLAYED 30 playoff games as a Clipper.

And also how miserable Lob City was with missed playoff games and under-20 point performances. Especially Blake. wtf

Dunn's shot has never been great, it was falling towards the end of the season, and for the most part in the series.

With him not making wide open shots, it allows Denver to cheat a lot on defense in the middle and makes things harder for the Clippers. Even if he's making, Denver is content to cheat off him and dare him to beat them, and it does constrict the middle and the pick and roll game.

Way better spacing for Harden when he has a legit 3 point shooter in there. He needs to carry this going forward. Batum also is a great defender in the paint. Denver’s interior opened up and the flow returned. Norm and Batum were great. I think we can win in Denver. Milking the clock is a double edged sword, limits the possessions they get but you also have to have a great iso game. It did work this game in the end. The only thing that matters is the win.

Definitely a double edged sword. Look at Detroit, in the last 1:40 last night, Cade Cunningham left over 10 seconds on the clock multiple times. They had a 2 pt lead with 1:38, 19 seconds later the Knicks were at the line with a chance to tie the game. There is noting wrong with limiting the other teams opportunities. You go fast and turnover or miss and you create a fastbreak opportunity. Slow is fine if you are smart with your decisions. You can go slow, but still be swinging the ball around for a higher % shot.

Minnesota was super smart dumping that horrible contract of Karl-Anthony Charmin. Would take the package of the gritty and tougher Randle and DiVincenzo over Charmin any day of the week. Charmin makes twice what Brunson makes with a quarter of the heart and determination. Knicks fans will be running him out of town after the Celtics series.

It's the equivalent of us leaving Russ wide open. When either knocks them down, the defense can only continue to leave them alone for so long.

There's no way Batum could have played 30 minutes a game for the entire series anyway, hopefully he has enough in the tank tomorrow.

I mentioned this in the GB board thread, but both sides are going to sell themselves out entirely to try to take Game 7, the winner is going to be absolutely gassed by Game 3 against OKC. But this has been a fantastic series so no regrets.

Kawhi Leonard will need to be the terminator tomorrow. James Harden will need to lock in for one more 25+ point game. The entire team will need to bring their A+ game.

Ty Lue will need to bring his A+ game too.

Pretty much. Whoever makes it through will be super gassed vs OKC.
