Hard Truth is that LeBron benefitted from a weakened Eastern Conference for years.

He's a great player, but by moving his biggest competitors onto his own teams, he had a much easier path to the Finals every year.

Celtics and Heat have had similar easy paths the past few years.

I don’t entirely agree. There was an element of teams such as Toronto just not believing they could beat him imo. I don’t think OKC would have beaten the Cavs in 2016 had they beaten GSW either.

There isn't anything LeBron can do to surpass MJ at 41+. Either he already has surpassed him - there's a very strong case for this - or he won't.

Adding ring(s) as a 4th or 5th guy will be interesting but not significant to any GOAT debate.

Honestly nothing LeBron does at this point does anything to affect the LeBron vs MJ debate in my eyes. LeBron is well past his prime and nowhere near the player he used to be.

My point was yes, ESPN and the media loved talking Jordan back in the day, but its the same with James nowadays and has been. Cowherd, Wright, Sharpe are all on the James bandwagon just like Jordan had his talking heads back in the day. Ahmad Rashad was todays Nick Wright. I dont put anymore value in what they say than i do for most of the post i read on here. Those people are very bias in their opinions about athletes not only talking Jordan or James.

He probably needs to win 3 more and i dont see that happening. Plus to be the “goat” i think you need to excel on both ends of the court and Jokic only excels on the offensive end, although he is one of the greatest offensive players ever. Another championship and he is knocking on the door of top 10 though.

Nostalgia is a powerful drug, but plenty of people have proven resistant to its effects and see LeBron as the better player after having watched both careers closely.

Other than passing what is he better at? Jordan had better handles, better post moves, better mid range game, better free throw shooter, better defensively throughout his career, and if i needed a basket to win or tie a game with a few seconds left i know who im giving the ball to between the two players. I watched both careers.

Congrats on seeing both. So did many people who have LeBron ranked over Jordan.

People, who have Jorddan over LeBron, in much more numerous. Like with Messi and CR7. In LeBrons case its recency bias, which is difficult to overcome.
