I don’t entirely agree. There was an element of teams such as Toronto just not believing they could beat him imo. I don’t think OKC would have beaten the Cavs in 2016 had they beaten GSW either.

nobody was beating Lebron "I'm coming home" James in the 2016 rigged Finals no matter who the opponent was.

There isn't anything LeBron can do to surpass MJ at 41+. Either he already has surpassed him - there's a very strong case for this - or he won't.

Adding ring(s) as a 4th or 5th guy will be interesting but not significant to any GOAT debate.

If that's the case, his paid media shills wouldn't need to bend over to create narratives and do anything they can to absolve him of blame when his teams lose.

The reason they do this is precisely because he hasn't surpassed MJ.

How else do you explain a marketing campaign that claims he's "Risen above winning?"

You ever heard of Nick Wright? He got called out by Broussard for being a Klutch guy…. Sharpe got called out by that Molly (dont know her last name) for the same thing. Yea Bayless and SAS are Jordan guys but James has his people too.

And the goat thing will always be a debate. Jordan is the greatest ive ever seen but there will never be a consensus. This is water cooler talk lol.

No, it's because Bron, his fanboys, and his paid media shills can't make their case for him without coming up with a litany of excuses and narratives while also degrading last legends so he looks better. And these tactics were taken up to eleven when his Finals losses started to pile up like corpses as Auschwitz. Your arguments are disingenuous, so we call you out on them.

Honestly nothing LeBron does at this point does anything to affect the LeBron vs MJ debate in my eyes. LeBron is well past his prime and nowhere near the player he used to be.

He already has a good case. Imo 2017-2018 LeBron is probably the greatest peak ever.

Sharpe, Cowherd, Perkins, Redick, Wright, just to name a few.

The media in the '90s didn't need to bend over to create narratives for MJ. Huge difference.

The media was very positive towards Jordan. Still are.

Yeah some FS1 guys that built their brand on LeBron vs Jordan. For every one that was pro-LeBron you had the counterpart. I don't like any of these guys either for serious opinion other than for amusement.

I agree it will always be a debate and we probably see next guy being debated.

My point was yes, ESPN and the media loved talking Jordan back in the day, but its the same with James nowadays and has been. Cowherd, Wright, Sharpe are all on the James bandwagon just like Jordan had his talking heads back in the day. Ahmad Rashad was todays Nick Wright. I dont put anymore value in what they say than i do for most of the post i read on here. Those people are very bias in their opinions about athletes not only talking Jordan or James.

If Jokic wins another couple it could even be sooner.

He probably needs to win 3 more and i dont see that happening. Plus to be the “goat” i think you need to excel on both ends of the court and Jokic only excels on the offensive end, although he is one of the greatest offensive players ever. Another championship and he is knocking on the door of top 10 though.

Other than passing what is he better at? I watched both careers.

Congrats on seeing both. So did many people who have LeBron ranked over Jordan.

People, who have Jorddan over LeBron, in much more numerous. Like with Messi and CR7. In LeBrons case its recency bias, which is difficult to overcome.
