It's funny how much criticism we have for our own players and how much grace is offered to failures on other teams. Heat fan base is upside down

Persons are still talking about Jimmy for example who is probably getting packed up in the 1st round. And this is his best possible display since he had half the year off

Kerr and Spo both love their small ball even as opposing bigs are having their way on the court.

Oh i see, yea not looking good for the ones like NightWatch who have been guzzling the Warriors since he left. Still feel like they win game 7 but I guess we’ll see, they have no chance in hell of winning the championship though that’s clear.

Luka is unquestionably a top 3 player in the league and exactly the kind of superstar the Heat would need to build around. His size and strength make him far less of a liability than most smaller guards on the defensive end. Some of the narratives surrounding him are just wild, especially when it comes to his defense, because relative to his position, he’s well above average. And your offense is essentially solved when he’s on the floor.
Luka consistently elevates his game in the playoffs, averaging over 30 PPG across 55 playoff games. He’s one of the most prolific and clutch playoff performers in recent memory.
Dallas made a massive mistake trading him the way they did.
The NBA mafia will make sure Luka stays put in LA one of there treasure markets. I already think it was a conspiracy how he ended up there. They will reload around Luka when Lebron’s massive salary is off the books.
I do not care about Luke individual points per game. I do not want Luka. Luke is past his prime. Its all down hill from now

If Kuminga was the answer or any answer, they would have never traded for Jimmy.

Luka would retire rather than going through the Heat's camp.

Luka just turned 26y not 30y and is entering his prime, not leaving it. I’d understand the hesitation if he were pushing 30y+ with heavy mileage, but he’s not. You might not care about his scoring, but averaging over 30 PPG in the postseason across 50+ playoff games is historic, very few players in NBA history have done that. That’s elite, playoff proven production.
The media narratives are often just reactionary noise. Speaking of which, some people seriously think Tyler “tanked” his value in the Cleveland series? The same guy who outplayed Trae Young h2h multiple times this year is now supposedly worse off because he lost to a far superior Cavs team, while he sent Trae home, who was just watching? Make it make sense.
Not even peak Wade would’ve carried this Heat team past the Cavs. Remember when Wade “carried” the Heat to playoff series wins in 2007? Oh wait, he didn’t. He got swept by the Bulls while averaging 24 / 5 / 6 on 48% TS with 6 turnovers a game.
How about 2008 or 2009? Nope, still no series wins. Wade didn’t win a playoff series without Shaq or LeBron. But somehow Tyler is supposed to solo Boston or Cleveland as if he’s one of the most generational talents the game has ever seen?
Same goes for Luka. Yeah, he had a bit of a down year and was traded for questionable reasons to a team that lacked a real center which is critical for both lob threat and defensive rim presence. They got dominated in the paint. And before Kyrie, Luka did carry his team to the WCF without a true co-star.

The average prime for nba players is 27 to 32. That is the average around the league, meaning it is not the same for everyone. Some are higher and some are lower and in Luka case his is extremely lower age. Your peak is represented by when your body starts to decline. You seen peak Luka, he is only going to get worse from here on out. The same with Zion. You are witnessing Luka body breakdown and its blantlantly obvious.
Physical decline is the point of past your prime. This is why nfl have treated Running Back differently than in the past oppose to a QB. Because the Running Back physical decline (aka Prime or Peak) comes sooner because of the physical wear and tear.

Did I miss the press release where twix2500 was named to Luka’s medical and performance team? Genuinely curious how you’ve concluded that Luka’s prime somehow ends five years earlier than the league average for elite guards. Unless there's some undisclosed biometric data we're all missing, this feels like a pretty wild reach.

Have to hand it to Ime for thinking outside the box. Imagine if Spo tried Ware, Bam, and Jovic for more than 30 seconds this year? Nah Spo rather be in small ball land with Kerr. More Jagsmith at the 4

Made the point before the Cavs series that Ware's minutes would be severely limited and was told that I was crazy by a few posters.
Some people here have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to how Spo coaches in the playoffs.

I'm not a fan of small ball and this could mean smth. but it is kind of missing important context:
- This is a 49 minutes sample size
- Houston shot 44% and GSW shot 18% on 3s during that time
Totally overshadowed by 3p variance
