We got away with a lot of bad missed shots, poor offensive execution, bad overall shooting days, falling asleep on defense play.
Duran had two important jump balls where he punted it out of bounds. Celtics are not sloppy. We screw up, they score 3. We shoot 25% from 3, we lose by 25.

 good thing we made the winning plays to… you know.

Windy: I'm watching this game and I'm like I just don't know what the Knicks are doing, it's just Jalen Brunson dribbling around and trying to find a crack against Ausar Thompson, and I'm like this is NO WAY to play basketball

4:50

Windy: he had 40 pts on 33 shots, it was tough to watch, there were some possessions where you're just like you know you've got KAT on the team, OG, Mikal... but it was just Brunson straight iso-ing

---

JB ball hog isos need to go. It might have worked in 1st round and I really think we wouldn't have needed that 3 in the first place had we not dug a hole with JB isoing the rest of the game, but he needs to share the wealth if we are to have any chance vs Celtics/ any success overall in the playoffs moving forward

Windy's is a clown because if it was any other team, he be lauding the praises ....

I'm not a Windy fan either, but he's right though. This is no way to play basketball. The ball doesn't move and everyone stands around watching.

Leon traded literally everything the team had to have these guys stand around and watch Brunson pound the air out of the ball. It's not sustainable and it's definitely not going to remotely work against Boston.

He is right but his timing is wrong. Coming off of that as stunning victory in a series we managed to win in 6.Any other team and he's pretty neutral , but when it comes to the Knicks, he and the rest of the sham ESPN media love to take liberty to point out our flaws without highlighting our strengths. But what about their flaws? Half of them calling Cade the best player int he series, yet NOT ONE have come clean to say how asinine that sounded.

ESPN works on the principle of outraging the fans, so they feel they have to pay more attention to see if things get set straight. They mostly aren't beat reporters who actually follow the team closely enough to break any really hot stories. It is not honest reporting -- it's designed to create name brands (their main analysts) and because Knicks fans are far less than 10% of NBA fans, the more they diss our team, the more interest they get.

Kendrick Perkins, and the occasional Monica, are among their few straight reporters.

That's fair to say, they were sucking Cade to death before the series started. I get what you mean.

F*ck ESPN tbh. I'm more concerned about how we are going to approach this series.

This is a great breakdown of Brunson's off-ball movement during game 6. He was doing so much beyond just scoring.

Dude we're not here to watch JB score 40-50, we're here to watch the Knicks win a championship. These are not the NY Brunsons

He went 15-33.

Had he gone 10-33 and we lost, the Knicks fans would've been outraged, but it was his night he made shots and we barely won... what if it had NOT been his night?? Let's just say I'd live with any result W or L if the they play team ball, but can't bring myself to accept an L if it's a hero ball. The way he's played this season mostly he's literally making his teammates standing and watching. No team has won a championship with its superstar playing extreme volume iso. Can he be unselfish?? Yes, KAT scored 31 in Game 3 and 27 in Game 4 that proves JB can share the ball.

When all of them share the wealth KAT, OG Mikal scoring too, we become multi dimensional, much harder to guard, keep opponents on their toes, they don't know where the scoring will come from which Knick next.

Then all of a sudden for whatever reason JB just "forgets" all that recipe for winning from previous games, and chooses to go solo for long stretches, like a full possession without a single teammate touching the ball for consecutive possessions in a row. I'm speechless he's supposed to be this selfless guy but he's turned into a total blackhole.

---

More people think JB iso is a recipe for disaster

21:55

Jacoby: I think moving forward with this Knicks team, this offense needs to be more ball movement, more off ball movement, less just Jalen Brunson take the ball and take us home, Towns needs to touch the ball more, when Brunson was hurt, OG was averaging like 25 ppg, Mikal was getting a ton of shots

Yes, absolutely. After watching Haliburton's dad's shenanigans, though, I've begun to think that Hali's childhood must have been really fuqqed up by that father. No wonder he's erratic, and seems to disappear from games. He's probably still struggling with that.

Dude Im here to watch the Knicks win period . ...which we did with Brunson dropping 40 m scoring 15 in the 4th. Will ISO all game work against the Celts ...probably not..but that aint all on Brunson. Also blame the coach and his fellow teammates for repeatingly putting him in the position to have to play hero ball late in games.

Brunson is a savant.

Much respect for a Detroit Pistons creator to put that together.
