I mean, the National media was actively talking about a stretch of games where the Pacers clutched out like 5 insane wins in a row at one point, then game 5 vs Bucks, etc.

I don’t know, just an odd opinion to me when all of the evidence says otherwise.

The Cavs have been the best fourth quarter team in the NBA this season lol

What’s that have to do with the Pacers apparently not having a closer?

Reading comprehension clearly is not your strong suit.

Please quote me where I say the Pacers don’t have a closer. Or, just go back and read what I actually said instead of taking a single word quote out of context

Those last two games mean nothing. Cavs didn’t play any starters any meaningful minutes since the 1 seed was locked up.

Been pretty mild. I don’t think there will be a lot of animosity this series, just like there wasn’t much with the Heat fans. Just not enough history. If the Cavs advance, and I think they will, save it for the Boston crowd. I’m already hearing trash talk from them, lol.

What are you even talking about? Most Pacers fans in here are even saying the Cavs should win

Here. Right here is where you said it.

Talked about Mitchell being a closer, then “it’s not like the Pacers have that guy” assuming referring to a closer as nothing else was being talked about out.

Huh?

Most Pacers fans recognize the Cavs will likely win.

Any of our defensive comments are coming against other fans talking about how much we suck.

Weird for you to share this quote AGAIN and not the entire context that it was replying to lol.

Listen man, I’ve responded with kindness both times. If this is the game you want to play, I’ll play it.

I cut out the other stuff not talking about this. What context are you thinking I left out?

This has Indiana playing its small second unit. That's possible, but it's also possible we'll play Thomas Bryant as second unit center. It's also possible that we'll stagger Haliburton and Siakam so one or the other is always playing

Yea, I expect Thomas Bryant to get a lot more run against the Cavs. We didn’t really need him against the Bucks unless someone was in foul trouble. Cavs, we’re going to need him.

You left out the fact that I was replying to a post saying the Cavs don’t have someone who can take over a series like Jokic, Giannis, Curry.

And yea I would take Donovan Mitchell 100/100 times with the game on the line in the playoffs. A guy who has proven himself over many games and series’… against Haliburton

What’s that have to do with you saying “not like the Pacers have that.”

So again…what context did I miss when responding to that?

Yeah, Cavs if they're smart won't play Wade at back-up 5 in this series. There will always be one of Mobley or Allen at the 5 with Hunter or Wade next to them at the 4. Kenny occasionally goes big with Hunter at 3 with Mobley at 4 and Allen at 5 but it's situational.

In the backcourt, always expect one of Garland or Mitchell at the 1. If Garland misses game 1, then the Cavs will always have one of Jerome or Mitchell at 1. Porter Jr (not pictured) is a break glass option at 1 but hopefully won't be needed.

Green (not pictured) can also play 4 but he did not play meaningful minutes in round 1. Okoro plays a tiny bit of 4 as well but it's rare, he's more of a 3 or 2.

I'm seeing are lot of hot takes in this thread. The Pacers are not the Heat. They have a bunch of shooters and players who can handle the ball. Extending our defense out to the half court line and pressing could easily backfire.

Siakam is a lot more skilled than the platoon that the Heat used at the 4. If we continue to switch Mobley out on perimeter players our wings/guards will have their hands full on the roll.

The Cavs will not be better without Garland. The Pacers will stick Nembhard on Mitchell the entire series and hide Haliburton on whoever else we roll out as a starter. If we decide to start Ty, then our bench advantage will take a huge hit.

The "Cavs are better without Garland" take is perhaps the most braindead opinion I've heard so far. Cavs have no one else like him on the roster, so why would removing a unique, potent offensive option make a team better? It just makes your guard rotation tighter and perhaps brings Craig
Porter Jr. into the mix. Craig is too raw to be playing any meaningful playoff minutes.

Okay, even I can see he said the Cavs have a guy they can rely on down the stretch, similar to how other teams do with Giannis, Jokic and Curry.

Then he followed up that he would take him 100/100 times over Halliburton.

Thats my plain reading of the post.
