And I don't think Green will be with the Rockets after the all-star break next year.

When does he break out as a superstar?
Or even a star?

Is he misused in HOU? He would ve lucky to have a Robert Horry career if he doesnt break out of there

He is just 3 & D guy and nothing else. His "shotmaking" skills were overblown.

I remember losing my mind in Chet vs Jabari debates for this exect reason.

Should Houston just go for Giannis?

Yea, he is just 1000th+ example that you won't improve your ballhandling by much anymore at this age. No matter if you are 17 or 19. Like Footballs dribbling skills you learn them as a small Kid.

I almost lost my brain in summer of 2022 when Rob was spreading 500 posts a day how Jabari is new Durant/ Tatum

Just went to see who i had as realistic comparison, Danilo Gallinari, Tobias Harris, and Lauri with better defense. Silly me, he is much worst than any of them.

Jabari just does nothing for me. Slow with ball , can't dribble, isn't tha tall ( no way he is 6'10), still skinny. Guy is new Anthony Randolph, matter of fact he could benefit from few years in Europe to at least learn how to play like "big" bit more. Today he plays like 40 years old PJ Tucker. Good luck working with that with your 3# pick at age of 21, since he still can't do anything more than catch and shoot ( but has no clue how to play off ball nor moves that well).

Jabari predraft talk was even worst because whole talk was Jabari vs Chet. You watch Chet in playoffs and guy can average 0 ppg and impact game more than Jabari on his best day. Imapct vise, Chet is top 15 player today (and one of reasons OKC is serious contender)

Houston and Orlando have polar opposite problems. Houston has the role players but doesn't have the stars. Orlando has the stars but doesn't have the role players.

Although, I did say that Houston doesn't have the stars I do like Thomspon he may get there at some point, but I don't think he gets as good as Paolo or Franz. He gives me Jalen Brown vibes with better defense and better passing.

I think he is a good versatile defender and roleplayer, but no star and not elite at anything.

Yea, Chet was and still is my No.1 in this draft. I always wrote that when he stays injury free he is a top 10-15 impact player for 10 years & top 3 defender. Paolo & Franz are cool but when we started our rebuilt i always hoped that we get one of Mobley, Chet & Wemby. The combination of one of them with one of our forwards would probably be a better fit too. Too bad Wemby was a few days too young for the Paolo draft.

Thats the case. You need to collect guards with point guard minds not only shooters. Most good teams are build that way. Catch and shoot players cant process the game at this level. They need geniuses like Jokic or Doncic to think instead of them. We dont have that and thats why KCP looks so much different. Anfernee Simons is also not a PG at all. Trading for him will be a big mistake.
I think Suggs is at the edge one way or the other.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

You were 100% right on your takes on that one…I had problems (still do) with Chet’s skinny fragile frame, but Jabari isn’t any better than Eason…should’ve been a two-man race.

I think you are absolutely dead-on with this take…I’m coming around to this…not that Simons wouldn’t be a great help but that we could really use a real PG as well (not necessarily a starter)…there are a couple of SGs that have the “PG mind” …Reaves definitely and McCollum as well…much more than just assist totals. The guy that somewhat epitomizes the “PG Mind” idea, to me, is Ingles…too bad he’s got the “suburban Dad” body…some guys just see things unfolding…like how slow, small Gretzky was often described as “seeing the game at half speed”.

Add the extra pick and get the right guy Weltman! I’d also be happy to have Ingles making $2m at the end of the bench if he can still give spot minutes…just for the osmosis

called it for Nembhard before deadline. But it's just so much easier to do nothing and cry how trades are hard i guess.

I think a few of us called for Nembhard - even over a year ago…but IND knows how important he is. Mention him in their trade board and they come at you with pitchforks.

Indiana got better on defense this year without changing roster (at all? ).
I'll say it again, they would be best Giannis fit, too bad he hates them

The Cavs are going to need to pound the ball inside because I don't think they can win a shoot out with the Pacers.

Meh. This was the first game this entire season the Cavs didn’t make at least 10 three pointers.

I think it was just a crazy good shooting game for one team and a crazy bad one for the other.

The 2 big lineups are hard to match up with Indiana's run and gun offense.
