Different players but Bosh all day

The biggest difference between the two is that Bam isn't as assertive or aggressive on the offensive end. Bosh may have taken a back seat to Lebron and Wade, but once he established himself there was no way he was taking a back seat to Andrea Bargnani. Bam will always have lesser players eating off his plate because he's not confrontational.

Exactly. All this talk of Bam being a better passer and facilitator is just penalizing Bosh for being a better talent on offense than Bam. Bosh on our current team would be the alpha and first option. If Spo made Bosh assume Bam’s current role on offense we would all be calling for his head. Or if Bosh was taking a backseat to Herro and Wiggins, we would all be calling for Bosh’s head.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Agree on that point. Bosh was a no 1 option for multiple season albeit with limited success. And Bam hasnt been that at all. Outside this board, I don't think you will find anyone objective who considers this a debate. Bosh was better. But neither was really suited to be no 1. But Bosh would have been great no 2.

Not sure I follow. Is facilitation not part of offense?

In the past 10 seasons, a NBA championship has never been won by a team with a first OR second option having an assist percentage below 15% (only first option below 20% is Kawhi scoring on historic efficiency and on a team of facilitators at every position).

Chris Bosh never had an assist percentage higher than 12.1% in any given season of his career.

I'm a big believer that ramped up usage for a scorer needs to come with facilitation in order to have a chance at playing real winning basketball.

Hope they do and save Miami from a KD trade. I wouldn't mind getting on a 3 way to get Jabari somehow for either Jovic or JJJ or both or Wiggins if Suns want.
He shows a lot of potential. With the right coach and right development plan, he could be a potential star. He's only 23, super athletic and can shoot 3s on good attempts. Outside a star in his prime, Jabari is the type of player I would Heat to target. Young athletic player who show some promise and show some ability to shoot

Worst assist percentage in the NBA among all forwards that get regular rotation minutes. No discernable handle. I struggle to see more than Channing Frye with a little bit better defensive potential.

If Suns manage Jabari he’s not going anywhere as he fills a huge need for them.

Still only 21 so someone will bank on the upside. They’ll throw him in for one of these star young players.

Exactly, especially the bolded part. Also I just don't think you can make the argument that someone who gets the ball as much as Bam does in our offense is somehow limited in opportunities. He gets the ball to make a decision and he consistently makes the decision to pass to someone else. Plenty of players at the 4 have similar sets run for them and they will attack, especially in noticing an overplay on the shooter. Bam doesn't and that is a choice. There's no need to lay "blame" of that on anyone else like the coaching staff or his teammates.

And if Bam needs someone to create for him which is another argument, I think that's fair enough. The whole team could stand to benefit from that. But you can't have it both ways.

Since becoming a starter the less aggressive Bam has averaged a whole 0.7 shot attempts less than Bosh did for his career.

I haven’t seen an argument for Bosh that wasn’t based on an opinion, vibes, and nostalgia. It would seem in their times as Heat Nation scapegoats Bam was more productive as a player. Curious to see the continued development next year with hopefully a good playmaker.

I won't be surprised (even though he's due to get paid), but I won't expect the team trading for him to have made a good decision. Perception based on draft capital def sticks around.

I’d be okay with a Ja for Herro type of swap but the young man needs to clean up his act

That said don’t think Grizz are ready to part

These trades of the Heat's scraps for Zion or Morant seem like fan fiction. KD I can atleast buy because he is old and a high risk type of move. Zion and Morant come with some risks, but they're also 24 and 25 and if available will fetch far better offers.

They are its bleacher report. It’s some Joe schmo who post these fan fiction trades and puts bleacher report on it to make it seem official lol. No different than making up a trade on RealGm. Most of the time they don’t even take the time to make the trade valid. But Heat twitter loves to feed off of it so they keep giving the masses what it wants

Houston is the best spot for KD and will be a great move by them too. They got young stars they don't need to pay max yet, so KD makes them an instant contender for next 2, 3 years, then they can immediately retool after KD without missing a beat. Hope they get KD.

I pointed out he only played 13 seasons and made the Allstar game his last 11 seasons. He was 19 and 20 the years he didn't make it. Also pointed out he made the HOF.

None of that is based off opinion, vibes, or nostalgia.

I must have missed your post stating that. The all star selections are nice (im not sure averaging 16-6-1 warrants a selection but that’s beside the point) and so is hall of fame, Bam will be there when it’s all said and done.

To be clear I wasn’t arguing Bam over Bosh all time, I’m backing up Batteries claim that Bam was better than Bosh in his time in a Heat jersey. I’m looking at on court production in the same role, same shot attempts, and same usage and struggle to find an area where Bosh outperformed Bam in the big 3 era outside of being a slightly better free throw shooter

So just All-Star selections? That's not really an objective measure of court impact.
