It is definitely not always mentioned. I'd guess like maybe 30% of the time, it doesn't get out when a player is trying to play through something in the Playoffs. Guessing, of course, at the number. But I'm sure things are kept secret all the time.

Feels like it makes more sense strategically to announce it so the other team has to plan for two scenarios.
