I would've trusted our half-court defense to guard the three rather than putting our players in a position where they had to knock down both free throws in a clutch situation. But hey, that's just me.

Don't get me wrong, coach made awful decisions too but it's as much on the coach as it is on missing 2 FT's. Equal blame.

Even if he made 1, OKC would only need to defend the 3 so it would have changed the defense. and if he made the 2nd one only they would have had time to set the defense.

Literally all he had to do was 1/2 FT and he choked BIGTIME

My contention with the discrediting of Murray is always who are the comparisons?

OKC is obviously a great team, very deep, have a superstar and a lot of young talent, but they were never this incredible juggernaut, they were never scary like the KD Warriors or whatever the media tried to paint them as, that narrative was always ridiculous to me.

They are absolutely beatable if you have a very good team that is either as deep or you have a star that can go toe-to-toe with SGA (or both). Take care of the ball, make it a close game and you have a good chance. Outside of maybe Indiana that probably describes every team left in the playoffs so we are in for a good run to June here.

I don't know if mathematically the foul strategy works over a longer time period. The game at some point becomes a 50/50 game if you alternate enough FTs, assuming both teams have the same chance of making their FTs. It seems more straightforward if it's a final shot scenario, not 2-3 possessions by each team
