That’s just it. He can’t. Unless you mean beer, milkshakes and cheeseburgers and a pot belly, which isn’t gonna help him.

I will continue to be lower on Chet than most because he is a permanent twig, with good functional strength for a twig, but a twig nonetheless. His body type is similar to Tayshaun Prince, except stretched out even further because he’s four-ish inches taller. By the time Tay reached his 30’s, he may have been 15 pounds heavier than he was at Kentucky. That’s literally all he could do.

Somehow Prince stayed mostly healthy for a long time, so you can hope Chet does the same… but he plays a more physical position, and he’s a much more aggressive player, so I doubt it. Injuries and getting big-boy’d are just part of what you’re gonna get. Super skilled, hard-working, no off-court issues, great young player, but… I won’t be shocked if Presti sells on him. Sam has to know.

If you can’t see the obvious physical differences between young Chet and young Giannis, you are blind. The shoulders alone tell the whole story.

Nonsense. Giannis might have better genes for muscle growth, but not 70 pounds of growth worth of genes. Chet could approximate his results with the right weight training, nutrition, and of course PED's. It would be too obvious for somebody like Chet, so I guess he has chosen not to go down that path.

Lmao Nuggets players trolling the Thunder players for their goofy ass barks thing they do lol.

If Denver somehow wins game 2, they should do that thing in the postgame interview of acting like clowns and dressing up the interviewer with warm-up jackets or whatever.

That comp’s an insult to Lavine. Lavine got to live off the teat of Jokic like MPJ, his entire career narrative would be completely different.

well, we agree on mpj's uselessness

Jokic tonight showed what a real, manly, in your face, direct leader is.

Not someone who is passive aggressive, points and blames others, makes others scapegoats, and always complains about lack of help and relies on offseason to strengthen team rather than go through adversity and make the team better by playing harder and smarter and by leading through example.

Regarding Chet, size, muscle mass, and PEDs … (sorry, I butchered the quoting process)

That’s just not how it works. You need to have the skeletal structure to support a huge increase in muscle mass, or you’re just going to injure yourself. Chet has ridiculously narrow shoulders, long limbs, and is very small front-to-back. His whole skeletal system looks like what’d you’d see if you took a very normal six-footer and stretched him out another thirteen inches. It makes him frail (that hip injury from a very common fall as an example), very low body fat, and completely unable to put on large amounts of muscle tissue. His body just won’t support it.

Now he could get somewhat bigger — over time, not just one crazy juiced summer with intense weight-training — and he almost certainly will. But he will absolutely never look anything like Giannis or even remotely close. He physically cannot carry that kind of muscle and stay functional as a basketball player.

He really is something special. Hopefully, the Nuggets don't waste his prime and improve the team next season because we deserve to see him play for the title every single year until he retires or falters.

Spread for game 2 is -11.5. That's incredibly high after what we saw game 1.

IDGAF. Their last three playoffs series they've gone out sad. What they think Jokic is going to do is what their team actually does: win only 0-1 games despite being HEALTHY.

It’s been 15 years since they last won though. They have absolutely sucked ass since then. Look at their early playoff exits and complete playoff no shows since then. They lucked out on Luka. Maybe the league even gave them that being the biggest market since the last 15 years after Kobe’s decline has been disaster.

If you weren’t alive for all 17, you don’t get to brag about the 17  A lot of fans consciously chose to support LAL just because they were popular and already had a storied history

Yes, OKC will respond with a blowout since that's the only way they send a message that G1 could be a fluke. Anything less will be disappointing.

So have the Yankees, Cowboys, etc. The Lakers still run the league and keep it all interesting. They have enough championships that they can go on a drought for a century and it would be OK. Most teams don't have more than 1-2 if that in this league.

OOOOR

use army of picks and get Giannis :dontknow:

His next chapter in nba is at C anyway. I have no clue why Bucks didn't even bother playing him as full time C already, and it took them elimination game to figure Brook is fried.

Does Giannis have fundamental big man skills—can he screen, catch dump off and pocket passes, protect the paint? Can he rebound when fighting for position with NBA big men? Those are all things to consider, regardless of his perimeter strengths.

For Greece he plays nothing but C for past 15 years. He had 15 RPG series vs Pacers, averages 12,2 rpg for career in playoffs, can switch on everybody. Actually, teams don't want to switch in missmatch because guard vs Giannis on perimeter isn't good switch for them.

With freaky 7'5 wingspan and standing reach he provides better vertical spacing than most other bigs as he really doesn't need gather to finish ally ops.

In pure pick&roll as rolling big he is solid, there are tweaks in his game that need to improve ( he rolls before contact lol) ,in high pick&roll as big he is good enough passer to make plays.

In 2021 he was best rim protector from DFGA% in NBA. Sure Brook probably played massive role in it, but still.

Let's be real here, Giannis on both ends brings such a huge difference as he is one of top 3 best players today. If you can pair him with another top 3 player, it would be foolish to not do it.

Presti is dumb if he doesn't trade for Giannis. Chet or JDub + picks easily gets it done. Chet will never be a difference maker in the playoffs with that frame.

This is why I'm rooting for OKC to win it all this season. That's a nightmare outcome for the league.
