I think if Clark sees minutes in game 1 then something went very wrong. NAW is more likely to play 35 minutes than Clark get 1

I just think Clark has better change of direction quickness than NAW, which would be better for guarding Curry.

That maybe true but naw is a better offensive player and more important, the trust of finch

I do want less Mike in this series, more point Randle, and more Donte and NAW. I think Mike should be saved for OKC when we may need him more.

Jaden is going to be on Curry. I think that can be written in stone

I think Jaden on Butler makes more sense.

That’s all true. I wasn’t suggesting Clark get all of NAW’s minutes, just that we should give Clark 5 minutes in the first half of the first game and see if it offers anything worthwhile or unique. Maybe we go back to it , maybe we don’t.

I would bet that Finch goes with Randle on Butler actually.

I am wondering at some point we will use a lineup of Naz(or Randle), JMcD, Ant, Clark, NAW, and DDV against GSW just so we could switch without chasing Curry around and could double team Curry if needed

I don’t think we can play 6 at a time but I’ll consult the rule book on that.

Why not, we played 4 against Suns before, so it's time to get one more  . OK, we give DDV a rest.

I saw somewhere that this is the first playoffs series since 2014 where Warriors are underdogs per betting sites...kind of a wild stat.

Excited to see how we handle this series. On paper we're the better team, but theres still a chance of us playing dumb, or Finch getting outcoached by Kerr. I think this team has made leaps in the mental area though. Wolves in 6.

I didn't see this thread until now..

Yeah we need to see what jaylen's got under pressure.

Sample size on NAW's shooting is approaching large enough that he isn't a playoff guy.

If Julius plays like he did against lal (minus the first half of game 1), this series is over in 5 minimum, and more likely a sweep. His play is the x factor for myself.

Personally would focus jaylen on jimmy over curry..

If it is set in stone the obvious answer is Finch. Finch not understanding the game and/or not being willing to make obvious adjustments to help his team win is not just classic Finch, it is Finch’s go to move.

Let's just enjoy the ride right now. IF we lose this series, I'm with you banging the table harder than anyone Finch has to go..

But, this team has potential. Kinda sucks okc is so damn good, but if anyone has a shot, it's us.

There is more to this team than Finch. Do not take what Mike brings us lightly. Ant also, has something in him that I cannot come up with proper words to describe. Rudy, Julius.. playing out of their minds..

Everything just might be coming together.. we're about to find out

Dane and Jace brought up a good point Curry has his crossover step back that can’t be guarded easily. If that’s the case have Jaden on Butler to prevent 2nd option.

How both teams are physically will be the key of the series. I don’t forget that last year ANT , Mike and even Rudy run out of gas against Dallas. Seems that this year we are in better shape. Mike run like he is 30 again, ANT is better as his Rudy. And we got Jaden able to run 48
Min and Randle who is a beast. Plus lots of energy from bench with DDV and NAW. Hope it makes a difference.

So many interesting possibilities for matchups. One thing that hasn't been discussed is Jaden's ability to be a mismatch once again. Golden State has only one player taller than him: Quinten Post. I think we could continue to see confident Jaden, which is huge for our chances. He has to keep his emotions in check though. He is maybe the one player most likely to retaliate against any antics, which would be devastating!

I think it's certainly worth a shot. We didn't start to really see Clark on the court until after the season series against the Warriors was over....at the time of the last meeting, Clark had played a grand total of 4:23 over two garbage-time appearances. It's possible we have a Steph Stopper, so I think to not try him out would be foolish.

With all of the chasing of shooters we'll likely have to do, this might be a series where we go small a little more often. Not all the time of course, but I think we'll see a few stretches of Jaden at the 4 with either Julius or Naz at the 5, and Ant with two of Nickeil, Donte, Jaylen, Mike....heck, I could even see us give TJ a shot.

Post got 17 minutes. He averaged 5.3/3.1/1.6 on 32.5% from the field, 30.8% from deep, and 75% from the line on less than 1 attempt per game.

Kuminga wasn’t even really worth looking at.

I don’t see how the Warriors really go bigger? Am I missing something?

You go bigger, you play into Minnesota's hand.

Similar to what they did with Houston, Golden State's advantage is going small and spreading the floor. Unlike Houston though, Minnesota is a willing and capable 3-point shooting team.

Something Jace mentioned today with Dane though, is Golden State is not an iso team. Guys will have to chase Curry, Hield, Podziemski. This will be our biggest test.

The best way to counter that IMO is come at Curry/Hield in waves. Even if it means putting someone like Clark, Dillingham, etc on Curry, you always want to have someone fresh on him and wear him down over the game.
