The game broke ESPN box score, it was stuck, and now updated but w/o +/-

That’s just not how it works. You need to have the skeletal structure to support a huge increase in muscle mass, or you’re just going to injure yourself. Chet has ridiculously narrow shoulders, long limbs, and is very small front-to-back. His whole skeletal system looks like what’d you’d see if you took a very normal six-footer and stretched him out another thirteen inches. It makes him frail (that hip injury from a very common fall as an example), very low body fat, and completely unable to put on large amounts of muscle tissue. His body just won’t support it.

Now he could get somewhat bigger — over time, not just one crazy juiced summer with intense weight-training — and he almost certainly will. But he will absolutely never look anything like Giannis or even remotely close. He physically cannot carry that kind of muscle and stay functional as a basketball player.

Can you shut up? This post is garbage pseudoscience, he needs to eat fking calories, a lot of them, and he isnt because he is dumb. He isnt a special human that cant add body mass.

Nope. But thanks for your lovely, polite post.

Your explanation that ‘Chet is dumb and doesn’t eat enough’ is truly brilliant, though.

People calling this “franchise altering” for OKC, calling them frauds, saying they got exposed, “sweep incoming”, “Denver in 5”.

I get it’s emotional but cmon. The Thunder are not frauds at all. 99/100 times the last 5 minutes of this game ends with an OKC win. I wouldn’t be surprised if OKC wins in a blowout in game 2.

Also, I do think this type of game and this type of series could be the best thing to happen to OKC. If you want to be a champ you need to get punched in the face and bounce back. They have never done that yet. Beating the Pels last year or the Grizz this year is not impressive. Beating this Nuggets team would be. So you got punched in the mouth, now what? Nobody wins a ring without it happening once or twice. This could be a major moment of growth for this team.

This. How you respond to adversity is what makes or breaks potential champs. Also funny to see people calling Shai a fraud when Mark, J-Dub and Chet had like the worst games possible. Long series left

Please stop talking about body types in 2025 please, you are a fraud buddy. It is fake, and WAY too simplistic of an explanation for things. Chet needs more calories, more protein, and gradual muscle building progress with sleep/low stress and other optimizations to put on mass. Not listen to Dr. SusOnline and his fake science saying he actually doesnt have normal human metabolism (which you obviously figured by just watching a guy on TV, nothing else needed) which can add or lose weight depending on calories and other factors as I mentioned. And thats without me mentioning HGH which you also denied because ??, you literally know zero about Chets body yet you claim a compound that grows tissues on humans just wouldnt work on him because you say so?

Nah just cut ur bs man, you need to stop pretending to be a know it all online guru.

I know he had that one great game in the series against the Clippers but I honestly didn't think he had "it" these playoffs.
Then he goes and gets 42/22/6
So I don't know anymore...

As much as I want the Nuggets to win, they needed 42/22/6 from Jokic, a game winner 3 by AG and everything to go wrong for OKC down the stretch, including two missed FT by Chet, after being up 9 with 3 minutes left in he 4th.
Some of those wounds were self inflicted, bad decisions from players and the coach, and Denver to their credit kept their composure as the more veteran team and capitalized on those mistakes but this isn't as demoralizing a loss as some make it out to be.
I don't think OKC players are thinking "man they're too good for us, we're doomed". If anything they're just mad they gave one up and are eager to get back at them.

As a Denver fan, we never win any game, the other team always loses instead. Always funny to hear that take

I claim no such thing.

And I advocated for gradual increase in muscle mass, with an acknowledgement that his body type is going to limit his gains. If that’s pseudo-science to you, your incredibly low bar for what counts as any kind of science is inspiring.

Chet is going to stay thin. That’s going to happen. He’ll pick up a little muscle because it’s his job and people will be trying to get him to, and there will be a bit of success. When he still looks too thin at age 25, you’ll continue to think he’s ‘dumb and doesn’t eat’. Doesn’t matter to me what some random crusader like you thinks, and I’m sure you feel the same about me.

Calling body types ‘pseudoscience’ is hilarious, by the way. As if we’re all the same in every way and that makes more sense. We all have the same metabolism, same bone structure and density…. same vision, hearing, sense of taste and smell. Same respiratory efficiency. Same lung capacity. Same natural stride. Same muscle fiber potential. It’s all just training levels and effort, amirite?

Tell me how Chet is just like every other NBA player except he won’t eat enough or lift enough. That’ll be a great, great story, I’m sure you have all the details to share. This guy who has devoted at least half of his waking hours to basketball training for the last eight years is just too dumb to get strong.

In all honesty, not that surprising.

It’s basically job done on this road trip and they may pack up early if a desperate okc gets the jump on them (they need to).

Coming off a 7 game series vs a team on a sweep layover, books counting on Denver potentially resting some bodies I’d say.

Nuggets were outplayed the 1st 6 games of the Clippers series, still managed to squeak 3-3 and won decidedly in game 7.

Denver won that game, I'm not disputing that.
My post was more in response to all the doom and gloom surroundind OKC losing game 1 of a seven games series and people calling them obvious frauds and that this one game also obviously bears more weight than everything they did and proved all year, which I think is unfair and far too premature.

for at least 6 more weeks.

If Jokic wins the championship this year he's going to be in the GOAT conversation. He should be winning his 4th straight MVP this year. I think he would dominate in any era with his ability to literally do everything. Players like Shaq, Hakeem, Robinson, Duncan, and even Jordan/Lebron would get dismantled by his skills and ability to make players around him look great. I firmly believe when MPJ, Murray and his other teammates are on other teams they'll be exposed like Bruce Brown was.
