Not true at all. Two of the early fouls were not even fouls or a result of switching. He didn't touch Brown and got called for a foul.

Didn’t you say something about not watching the game or checking out early? Hmmm? So whe we were down by 20 in the 3rd quarter, were you watching?

Incredible win. Those hustle plays by Bridges were sick.

I always thought we have the talent level to beat Boston. This series is moreso about Thibs and the team's fighting spirit on defense.

I was scared the squad would disintegrate against Detroit, as there were some concerning signs about the team's unity in the second half of the regular season. As a mea culpa, I possibly overreacted to some of these signs, as I was otherwise always a believer in the talent (besides some doubts over Mikal). But with the Pistons hurdle behind us, I think we may start to see this team play at a much higher level. I think they were eager to see Boston.

We have the best ball-handler and closer in the series, so we have an advantage in close games. This is a big series for Brunson, and when I said he'd had a disappointing season it's only because I think he has another level in him. This is the perfect platform for him to show it, regardless of the series outcome.

Not a good KAT game in terms of production but I've always been adamant that his impact goes beyond individual numbers with his gravity as a floor spacer. You rewatch the last minutes of the game and you can Boston's defense being completely stretched out with his presence alone. Like DJ Zullo said on the KFS postgame, he also didn't let go of the rope defensively, which is key in this series.

Bridges made some incredible plays defensively, obviously. We need him to be this hustle player, and it's better late than never.

We have the talent to beat this team. But we will need to still increase our defensive sharpness and intensity, because Boston are going to come back stronger in the next two games.

There's a 78% chance OKC/CLE/BOS lose their series. That's wild.

No slander tonight....tonight....we feast!!

Masterful job by Thibs, some of it had to do with the foul trouble, but I couldn't believe my eyes...guys coming in and out based on what was needed on the floor instead of just sticking to his template. No Payne showed he was on business tonight, even put the double big lineup in there to match up and give them a taste of different defensive lineups to throw them off. Great job.

The switch everything, no drop coverage defense we didn't do all year was key. No step in, in rhythm three's, and the proof was there tonight. He finally did it. Let's go!!

Na, don't eat **** because he's finally doing what we see he should be doing. He isn't insane after all, that's all. He definitely gets credit tonight, though. You could see the Beautiful Mind equations floating above his head all game, he was on.

It shows how important coaching decisions are. His decision to do something he didn't do all year tonight should be applauded. Glad he grew some stones.

2nd was too. KAT jumped to Tatum's left and Tatum made a not normal shooting motion and jumped to his left just to make contact with KAT.

Amazing bc we have seen what he’s talking about as close observers of the team — and last night they played in sync.

What a fun game to watch. Just finished it after night shift...when the Knicks got down 20 I thought "here we go again" but they climbed back and played with good intensity. Everyone contributed, Mikal had a big night despite missing many shots.

Damn, really don't know what to think right now. Have they found a different gear? Did we just luck out the Celtics missed 45 3pointer (I thought we defended the 3 a bit better than in the regular season)? We missed a bunch of FTs and still won? We got hammered on the boards but still found a way?

A lot to process really. Really too bad Mitch is struggling so bad with the FTs...I feel like the double big line-up could really hurt the Celtics.

Really just happy right now and enjoying this win. Everything else does not matter at the moment! Great great effort.

BTW....BEST win since our finals run IMO. Easily. What a game!

Josh did a lot to keep this team afloat last night. I was harsh on him at the beginning of the game because he was a disaster, but man did he come through. Multiple huge rebounds to keep possessions alive.

If every game of this series is gonna be as crazy as this is, I dunno if my heart can handle it

Tatum literally jumped into Karl. I thought the league said that's not a normal shooting motion?

Whatever. The job is done. Boston has all the pressure on them now.

Has anyone a gif of that Horford foul on KAT that wasn't called in the third? That looked like an intentional foul to stop the layup or dunk...I though Horford wacked him across the arm pretty obviously but didn't see any replay....

KAT is not the smartest player on defense and always gives the refs an opportunity to call a foul. BUT it feels like he gets called for every small possible thing while on the other hand he sometimes gets hammered with no whistle at all. Really Thibs needs to make this thing a theme throughout the series...KAT IMO is one of the most disrespected players on offense..

Just curious what adjustments and/or coaching decisions Thibs made in this game that impressed you.
