Obviously Boston won't miss 45 3's again but they had plenty of time to reset & regroup after we tied the game and didn't get it done. They are struggling with injuries & fatigue from long playoff runs/summer basketball, I'm convinced they're human and am not surprised when they miss late in the game. It's the same strategy as the championship Warriors--do everything you can to not let them go on a run and give yourself a chance at the end of the game.

i mean this without an ounce of trolling in my heart.

but their coach failed to adjust accordingly.

there's probably some validity to cap's theory about not tipping our hand in the regular season.

they'll respond to it in game 2. but they got out-you-know-whatted last night.

correct we might need to adjust a bit and have Mitch come in the game before we get in the bonus.

We could plan on that but if towns gets in foul trouble it can throw the plan off. Precious might end up playing again at some point and hopefully it’s not as disastrous as you’d expect next time

KAT has got to be smarter tho. Hands up and do not lean into anyone. I don't care if someone makes a lay up, we need him on the floor.

The reason Precious doesn't play is because he hasn't proven to be effective in short spurts. The guy needs like 20+ mins to find his rhythm in a game, but is usually a disaster with only 5 mins.

He can help in the switch scheme defense, but he needs to prove he can lock in immediately, because he takes a lot off the table otherwise.

They didn't, but I also wonder if they start moving their offense towards the basket, if they play more into what we want.

The truth is that KP is the x-factor for that offense. If he's out, they go from perfect to simply elite.

I went in rooting and I didn't quit down 20. I was almost ready to call it a night with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. I couldn't let my Celtics fan nephew see me give up!! All grit no quit!! so basically, if the Knicks protect homecourt the rest of the way, they can win the series

Knicks couldn't protect home court against the Pistons so I don't like their chances BUT THEY WON TONIGHT SO F*CK IT WE CAN DO IT!!

I think the Knicks will treat Boston very differently.
If Boston is going to win they will have to earn it. Last two games vs the knicks went to OT.

We also can't have Precious/Hart/Mitch on the floor together. Precious should be next to KAT not in place of him. Payne/Hart/Precious also doesn't bode well on offense. Two non shooters and a streaky/ugly shooter. Paynes whack ass form and the time it takes to shoot it is a little slow. Teams aren't scared of him but, once in a while the sun shines on a dogs ****.
