KAT completely shoves Jrue out of the way on the shot. He's not soft, he's reckless.

I also saw him saying last night he needs to adjust to Boston’s physicality.

You can put a smaller defender on him as long as you have a weakside shotblocker to come over, if it was just Jrue or a wing with no shotblocker he'd average 85ppg. The smaller defender is the roadblock, the weakside shotblocker is why it works.

It’s not about that, it’s that he tries to be a finesse player and hates contact.

He doesn't hate contact he just never gets the foul call  If he got half the calls Embiid got he'd be at the line all game. It's the larger player coming over to take away the middle, Jrue and the Celtics have done this to plenty of players, the only one it has never worked against is Jokic. It has nothing to do with being soft, and everything to do with the fact Kristaps / Horford are coming over to help while Jrue slows them down.

Also, he was +8 in the game, +15 in net rating, had the tip in that gave us the 3 point lead, had 13 rebounds and then saved Josh's ass on this contest

Criticize him for dumb fouls, outside of that he played a good game.

OG was a monster on both ends. Mikal was incredible on defense.
Brunson carried us in crunch time in the 4th like only he could..
Hart and Deuce also brought a lot to the table.
Kat had a desaster second half on offense but I thought his defense and rebounding were reeeeeally solid.
Didn't like Mitch's performance at all. that +/- is misleading af imo.

it's the angle, you can see it hit the top left of the glass and fall in. mikal said he banked it and the basketball gods made it go in

I don't see it but if Mikal said it. It doesn't look like it's at the top when it crosses the glass.

you can see the trajectory get altered to an angle instead of an arc the moment it hits the glass. very subtle but i'm manically locked in this morning

Bridges / Hart / McCullar
Anunoby / Dadiet / Achiuwa

Exactly, telling him to go be more physical offense is just going to lead to more fouls, he's clumsy on offense.

He's averaging 1.00 points per possession in the post, which is 3rd highest in the playoffs, with the 5th highest frequency so whatever he's doing is working.

We need his three point attempts to come up if anything.

no seriously. I thought he was on the floor when they just missed every single open three. and his FTs are a big problem...
I hope he steps up, tho. we need him.

Mitchell Robinson has basically become unplayable, with the Celtics using a hack-a-Robinson strategy to force him to take free throws. He went 3-for-10 from the line in a laughable showing.

But he was +13 so they're wrong.

If Boston wants to rack fouls and get themselves into the penalty by fouling Mitch, by all means let them. Those fouls add up.

This is nothing new.

i didn't wanna bring this up during the game but i think horford has a mental edge on him by being a dominican mentor growing up

I mean, it's a good move with the clock winding down. Slow and he does not have an explosive last step but he's not avoiding contact. Horford is backing up to avoid a foul and disrupt or block the shot.

Right before that, KAT makes a pass to Mikal who had an open path in and passed back instead.
