OKC would be insane.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Portland has 2 swaps and a 1st from Milwaukee, but not until 2028, 29, 30. Before then, Milwaukee owes their 2025 1st to Brooklyn, 2026 and 2027 swaps with NOP. That is really rough....man I feel for Milwaukee.

Your idea is valid but it wouldn't actually allow the Bucks to reap any benefits from tanking until 2028.

Love the carousel of "Giannis would fit perfectly on X, but the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best players there are off the table. Milwaukee will have to choose between 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th with some late 1sts and swaps"

I’d imagine Bucks would want to send him out West.

One thing for certain is the Raps will finish second in the Giannis sweepstakes, guaranteed.

Houston, Golden State, OKC and San Antonio seem like obvious suitors.
Go Raps!!

I would be shocked if you got Chet or Williams. I have no skin in this game. I just don't see any team coming in and topping an offer of Carson, Isiah, Wiggins/Joe/Etc plus picks. If that happens sure but neither the Lakers or Miami will beat that offer.

Once the rumors start my opinion may change if some team like the Raptors come in from the ropes come in offering scotty barnes or something plus a bunch of picks but until then no team is going to offer more than they need to whether the dude name is Giannis or whatever.

OKC has more assets than anyteam in the league that doesn't mean they are going to use them on Giannis especially when he hasn't said he is willing to sign there. The three teams he mentioned signing with have limited assets. Them even being interested is realgm speculation. But I don't think anyone should sneeze at that offer that is a pretty similar offer that landed Lillard and Mitchell. Mitchell is much younger. Neither guy landed a top young player. Isiah has value and could be moved for at least one further first rounder. That was sort of the genesis of the Lillard deal.

I would make anyone on the Heat available. I would just haggle over what picks to give depending on what players are given up.

it would be a panic move. okc is set for the next decade WITHOUT GIANNIS. so why give up part of its core

It's unlikely they will need to either. We will have to wait and see what develops but if it's those three teams OKC doesn't need Chet or Williams to beat their best offer

Dame made up his own mind when POR decided that they weren't going to throw away assets for a 1st round exit

I would empty the entire roster for Giannis. Trade everyone not named Luka and Bronny. Deport the dad, leave the son.

It would take Bam, Herro, Ware as a foundation with a ton of picks not to get hanged up. The problem is that leaves us with nothing but trash on the roster and no picks. Our front office is the gift that keeps on giving.

A deal that doesn't involve one of Chet or Jalen makes the Bucks one of the 5 worst teams in the league next year, and they don't have control of their picks.

I think there is a zero percent chance of Giannis going to OKC without one of Chet or Jalen. Just because they have the most theoretical assets will not get back a Top 5 player without giving back an all-star caliber player, especially if that guy may be their third best player.

And don't get me wrong, I don't think if I were in charge of the Thunder I would trade for Giannis, but I also think there a better than 50 percent chance Giannis is still the better player of the three (Giannis, Jalen, Chet) for the next 2-3 years, so one of them being "off the table" doesn't seem realistic.

Jaylen Brown for Giannis?
Brown about 15 months younger and is an All Star.

Not sure how the Celtics adjust their line up given their 3 point bomb style but Giannis is so damn good they'd make it work.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.
