I know I said this before. But the Mavs were lucky with playoff matchups last year and it played to their favor. They bump into Jokic, that's a first round exit IMO. Minnesota, OKC are all somewhat favorable matchups compared to Denver.

This is the equivalent of ducking the 2000s Spurs or Lakers in the first round. Avoid at all costs.

Mavs were the best team in the west, I favoured the Wolves but was confident against both, there was nothing lucky about it, all 3 opponents were great.

Carlisle about to beat the Cavs. Ball movement of Carlisle teams is fun to watch.

I watched the Cavs destroy the Heat mercilessly and though no one is stopping them, they looked really, really, impressive, the way he dismantled them on both ends is legendary.

Unpopular take but I think Carlisle suits this current iteration of the Mavs with Kyrie and AD better than he did before. If he can squeeze that much out of Haliburton and Siakam, I'd imagine he'd get more out of Kyrie, AD and this cast. More than Kidd, that is. But who knows, Kidd might pull some surprises.

The only surprise Kidd will ever achieve, will be the fact that he'll manage to stay coach for another 20y. His endless excuses will be injuries to AD and Kyrie, and then tanking after AD and Kyrie are done. So buckle up :P

This board hated on Carlisle for so long. It’s good to see him have success after leaving the Mavs.

Go, Pacers! It looks like the Knicks next round. A team that actually plays defense.

What about OKC - Pacers finals?
Would be probably the smallest market finals ever

I would love a Pacers vs Wolves/Denver/OKC matchup in the Finals just to see that SOB Adam Silver going crazy.

Wonder what Silver is offering Denver for Jokic?
Or the Bucks for GA?
Silver appears to be the acting GM for the Lakers now.
