That sucks for the Cavs, man. Legendary game from Mitchell and it was going to be such a gritty win. Damn. What a meltdown.

It really sucks hard for them but it's not like they made a crapload of mistakes. It wasn't one of those "no one wants to win games". We just made some incredible plays down the stretch that have left me reeling.

Its just a shame the Pacers don't have a closer though...

I said it earlier--Cavs played really hard, but they didn't play well. That was a really bad game from them. I know they were without 2 all-stars and a 6th man of the year candidate, but that was still a really poor game by the Cavs.

Cleveland has a chance if they miraculously get healthy, but it isn't looking good.

Why would anyone expect the Cavs to play well top players?

I honestly expected the Cavs to get blown out but the Pacers are soft.

That comment really aged poorly.

Tyrese did nothing all game while Donovan Mitchell killed himself to his team in position to win, taking on 2 and 3 defenders at a time.

Tyrese had Nembhard out here turning the ball over left and right in the half court.

And Tyrese does the only thing he can do in the half court, which is a step back 3, like I said and the comment is in poor taste.

I could understand if Tyrese took over the 4th and he looked like Kobe vs. the Raptors.

But Tyrese getting to his only move, which I said is his only move...is my comment aging poorly.

I forget most casuals only care about what happens in the last 2 minutes...

Pacers play team ball so Tyrese doesn’t have the luxury of being selfish.

He missed some key late free throws that allowed this miracle. He was the reason why they were winning and the reason why they lost.

I said he doesn't have a bag and a handle that is good enough to generate consistent half court offense...which he doesn't and he proves it over and over again by floating around on the perimeter and being passive.

Like, I get it.

The Pacers aren't contenders and making the playoffs and watching your pseudo-star do cool stuff like hit game winning shots is fun....

But there's nothing to gloat about when the opposing star drops 40 plus and almost tied the series up because your pseudo-star is too busy standing around on the perimeter, completely out of the game.

Then the last minute comes along and he starts trying and actually does something when he could've done something the other 47 minutes but he's passive and generally uninterested if things aren't going his way.

Not really an excuse. You win 64 games and won without key guys plus you're at home. The Pacers deserve 100% credit.

The Cavs choked that bad. In the last minute...lost two rebounds after foul shots, can't inbound the ball, burned time outs, turn over the ball twice (thrice?), took an offensive foul because he was angry (Spider), didn't make one shot after having a 7 point lead with one minute left, burned no clock really.

And then at the end;

Fouled Haliburton on a two point shot, which was a horrible decision to take when down by three.
Makes one shot
Misses second
Cleveland loses the rebound on the missed 2nd shot to Haliburton of all people, just how.
Give up a three pointer that they now should not be letting him take

Disastrous really.
