The inability to box out is essentially an effort/coaching thing which annoys me. Missing shots is missing shots.

Just listen post game ITW. Finch finally go after ANT, he probably realize that his days are outnumbered if he lose the series.
All players seems to realize they were bad tonight on the offensive part. Game 2 will show our capacity to bounce back.

I still expect Wolves in 5. I knew we would have a game like game 2 against LAL. I just did not expect it at Target Center. I especially didn’t expect it on a night where Steph Curry went down. Finch isn’t simply a bad coach because he lets things like tonight happen, he is a terrible coach because he never learns from them and consistently fails to identify what is working when it is working and allow it to work. We were coming back in the 3rd then he pulls Jaden after pulling Rudy. Having any stretch without one of them on the floor is suicide. Just like having an offensive stretch without one of Ant, Jaden, Julius is suicide. Jaden went 6 of 9 from inside the arc and was also capable of rebounding his misses, so of course we don’t feed him more. We played Mike 21:44 and Randle only 30:36. Run a lineup with Randle/Ant/Jaden/Naz/Rudy and put the ****** game in reach. Finch isn’t capable at this level.

Finch will be gone if they don't win this series. This maybe the worst game in Finch's era. There is also the Pacers G-league game and Bucks meltdown.

Jack Borman said tonight that they were charging a ton for tickets leading up to the game and had more than half the arena empty. They had to slash them BIG time and still there was significant worry the lower bowl would be empty for the cameras. You could probably get cheap tickets.

I agree with you. I' m annoyed with Finch coaching almost all season. I support him after the LA series but i start to think he does not have much to do with the victory, we were just lucky enough to play against 8 guys with a 40 year old guy and their superstar not in great shape so we kill them at 4th quarter with or without Finch decision.
Tonight he was as awful as the players. We were up 2, he make sub and we go for 13-0 with NAW being terrible.
He put Jaden and Rudy on the bench way too long.
Starting 4th, we finally wake up, make a run with Mike finally finding rhythm ( 5 assist in 4 min) and he make some stupid sub. Sit Rudy, we did not score for 3 min and game was over. His time out were also questionable. You don't wait to let the opponent score 13 when you scoreless before calling TO. Not that we deserved to win but we may had a chance with a better coaching.
.... i'm okay he goes after ANT in the ITW as ANT has to show leadership but he should also look at himself in a mirror as his coaching was beyond bad tonight. Hope they all regroup and come back with focus at game 2.
Did Season golf start already?

My biggest worry has always been a lack of focus against a really smart experienced team that moves the ball and moves without the ball.
Mike nailed it after the game, you're not just going to outmuscle these guys like the Lakers. They're too smart and too tough for that. Have to be much better because they're playing for their lives tomorrow night.

Totally agree. This team got plenty of champions with multiple rings including the coach. Tonight they give us a good lesson. We have to learn fast because it will be a complicated series. Before series start i was a bit shocked almost all people were saying Wolves in 5 or 6. I say at that time Serie will go to 6 or 7 and can go either way. Let's see. hope i'm wrong and we still win in 5

To be fair, they hit their 3s and we missed most of ours. A lot of them were wide open too. It doesn’t take a genius to pack the paint and dare a team struggling to shoot the long ball, to shoot the long ball. Power outage games happen, but not usually like this, and not coming off of one.

The crowd was annoying as well. Stfu and stop booing butler. Instead just chant defense! The booing did not really help

Domejandro wrote:My super hot take is that I’m pretty cool with Naz Reid finding money elsewhere. He’s just too horrible defensively and can’t rebound; he hasn’t improved at all and is a massive liability on that end.
Scorching hot take when Naz was basically the only offensive player who showed up. I think your points are valid, but that's why Naz is a ~20m per year type guy that's a fantastic role player and not an all-star level guy. I think you're underrating him a little defensively, he's improved a good deal to be able to guard wings and he's still a pretty good shot blocker.

Not completely accurate, but if we just shot 9-for-29 (31%) from 3P, we win this game.
Or if we just scored 43 in the first half.
Defensively, we kept another team under 100.

Well. Hopefully we got that out of our system. Any word on Curry yet? I'm sure he misses at least 1 more.
Not sure why we launch so many bad 3's. Yes, we have shot horrifically the entire playoffs (save game 1 of LAL), but there is a big difference between taking bad 3s and taking open 3s within the offensive flow. UGLY!
Hopefully every single player and coach got embarrassed and they want to play basketball the rest of the series.

Curry is going to miss a week but does it matter if we can't stop Buddy and Green

I actually agree with this. Butler and Green are guys who thrive on "hate". By booing him, in some ways it's just playing into their hands.

Tonight felt like Game 2 of the Lakers series. Just an offensive meltdown. I think we'll course correct.
