Maaaaan what a win! Obviously the Steph situation casts a dark shadow over everything but incredible effort to take a road game that they really needed double badly with Steph likely sidelined for a while. Jimmy earned his money doing his thing, Buddy continued coming up big, Loon came in and got some key rebounds when the Wolves were threatening to erase the lead. Draymond played a masterful game running the offense with Steph out.

On the other hand, WTF Podz and Moses, did these guys just completely forget how to shoot? Jeez man, we are going to need a little more out of those guys. Like just 10 points would make things a lot easier. JK was pretty bad overall but had a few good plays.

Post and Santos I think could have actually done more damage against this team, but neither even get a shot.

The big thing I felt immediately is that this Wolves defense is not NEARLY as stifling as Houston's. Houston was (literally) in our jerseys, but Dubs were getting plenty of open shots inside and out against Minny, really anything they wanted especially with Steph in the game. Wolves will probably be better than they were tonight, but I was encouraged that, again unlike vs. Houston, the Dubs were able to play their game again, like they can finally BREATHE after being suffocating underwater in the last series.

Would be nice if we could stop smoking layups and getting shot clock violations because we waited too long to shoot. Jimmy had some open shots in the middle and passed them up, he needs to be a little more aggressive with those with our sketchy outside shooting.

Anyway, hard to complain about too much, a win's a win and it's a big one. Get well soon, Steph.

I liked the way Kerr coached this one.

If he can steal game 2…
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

I think we can all agree that Loon needs to play more minutes unless he's not 100%. He was huge for us today when Green was out of the game due to foul trouble.

yes, even the announcers said they don't understand why loon doesn't play more.

Wolves fans can't get over getting beat by "so many scrubs" lol. If Moody, Post, Podz, Kuminga, and Gui starting hitting shots their heads are going to explode. And they better, line on game 2 is Min -10.5.

thoughts

- nba scheduler should be exiled
- first 5 games are every other day, so best case scenario we go to a game 7 and Steph comes back
- we are a matchup nightmare for minnesota
- kerr continues to be masterful this post-season in his adjustments and rotations

I think Wolves blow the Warriors out game 2. They've been shooting diabolically poor from 3 two games now, and the law of averages is going to hit hard for one game to even things out.

Dray was amazing, MOTM. Props to Buddy as well. It's really a huge shame Steph got hurt, it looked like it might be a 30 point blow out by HT the way things were going and then everybody would have gotten some rest.

This Wolves team is not on the same level as Houston defensively. Not even close.

If they can get one more game they can at least extend it to game 6. That will give Curry 12 days of recovery. That could be enough time for a grade 1 strain.

There is a positive, Curry's thumb gets some rest. Hope to see Curry back by game 4 or 5. Game 5 is next Wednesday. If GS can take just 1 of the next 3 games, we're talking at least 6 games in this series. Getting game 1 was huge.

So he played 46 minutes in game 7, tried to go in less than 48 hours.

Warriors have been okay relatively okay with his injuries.

Kerr managed his minutes and made sure he'd be healthy for the playoffs. But in the playoffs, he was forced to play heavy minutes and going to 7 game in round 1, maybe a deep run wasn't in the cards.

They are saying there's an extra day of rest between games 5 and 6.

But the Warriors may be finished by game 6 or they have to win game 6 to force a game 7.

Sense as in if it's a grade 2, the playoffs are done for him. Granted it depends how long he's out for. I think game 5 is very important for him to make if he's able to.

yeah, grade 2 would have been the end of the season....now there is still a glimmer of hope.

The great thing about this Warriors team is they are such a good defensive team. That will serve them well in Stephen Curry's absence.

This is being completely ignored by most of the national media. Curry's a great offensive weapon and that hurts having him out but Golden State's defense doesn't get worse because of it, the defense could get better.

It's quite possible GS only has to win 1 of the next 4 (2 at home) to make this a 6-game series which will be played next Saturday with hopefully a healthy Curry not only having a healthy hamstring and possibly a healthy thumb, but a rested Curry for the rest of the series.

The big question is how limited is Butler's body from the fall in round one? If he's nearing 90%, he can go into carry mode offensively for a few games, couple that with GS's defense and they can steal another game or 2 in this series before Curry is back.
