KAT... it's time to bring it all together.

They ain’t coming out doing anything except shooting more 3s. Maybe they fall maybe they don’t.

We have the data to show that they become a worse 3 pt shooting team as the playoffs continue. We have OG making it tough on Tatum and they have a hobbled JB scared to drive.

They’re gonna be putting up 3s like they always do. If they decide to start driving hard and getting every whistle imaginable then you already know who made the call.

I think Boston is going to go in more.

Yep. If it was about his defense and what not, I get it. But a lot of it is dudes being homophobic and it's a shame they can't hash out their own internal issues with their own sexuality instead of projecting it onto Karl.

It's really weird behavior.

Did I miss something with this? Is this connected to that photo of KAT and Cousins?

Game 2 on the road is the hardest game of an entire 7 game series, slightly ahead of Game 7.

All you maniacs on this board need to steel yourselves from jumping out windows if the statistically most likely scenario occurs and the C’s bounce back.

If it was 70/30 we’d lose Game 1. I’d say it’s 85/15 that we lose Game 2… but overall 60/40 that we win the series, dropping to 55/45 if the C’s even the series tonight.

If we lose this one, I will be muting the toxic panic of this board and switching focus to holding home court 3/4, which I believe we can do.

If we don't win this one we still hold home court advantage with the opportunity to maintain that advantage in NYC.

Win Games 3 & 4 and we go back to Boston up 3-1 with the continued opportunity to close it out in NYC in Game 6.

I want this win tonight quite intensely of course, but my logical side says winning at home is the key now so I won't jump out the window even if tonight sucks.

That would be the normal coaching adjustment. If they don't it tells you something about how they're wired. If they continue to over-rely on threes I think that actually bodes well for the Knicks. It would mean they can't or won't adjust which would allow us to set the tone if we come with force.

I would hope we're talking about a minority sub-set of fans here. This is the first time I've encountered this and it never occurred to me to associate KAT with sexual preferences because of any mannerisms.

Yes, us crude boys do talk about strength as a male vs. female thing simply because nature made males physically stronger than females, but that's entirely different than riding people for being queer or, in this case, projecting that upon them.

Besides, KAT is not soft. He was a top rebounder in the league. He's just not a great paint defender and sometimes he collects unnecessary fouls.

If KAT looked effeminate in a photo, whatever. He looks how he looks. I don't care.

And that’s precisely why Game 2 is so hard to win — psychologically we’re prone to complacency and the safety net of upcoming home games while the C’s are a wounded animal with backs against the wall. It would be an absolutely devastating kill shot if we can pull it out tonight, but if we don’t we still have the safety and security of home court awaiting. Massive psychological advantage for the C’s.

i hear all that.

percentages won't be lacing up tonight. only the game and opponent in front of you ever matter.

it ain't over until it's over.

our percentages didn't stop the pacers from winning in 7.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

For sure. If we pull it off tonight that's the series which is why they will be fierce tonight.

The most important thing is to show no complacency on our part whatsoever.

Show up in kill mode and leave it on the floor regardless of the outcome.

which plays directly into our hand, you want them taking less 3's. If that is the gameplan they will not win tonight, OG will clamp Tatum yet again and Bridges will do what he's been doing, keep using that Pick to get AARP onto Brunson and let him cook him, they will eventually have to sit Horford if he keeps getting burned in the high screen, If they try the blitz/trap it should be a quick pass to the top of the key(prob to hart) and then you have a 2 on 1 at the rim. Everyone's been talking about the mismatches they pose but nothing on what the Knicks can do to them.

No no that's fine and you're right, perhaps I worded it wrongly. But you see a lot of people on social media making comments or using emojis that suggest something, and in a way that feels derisive and not sympathetic.

And you can easily correlate these comments with how a lot of Knicks fans hated the trade, or were/are reluctant to support him. Those circles don't overlap entirely for sure, and I'm not calling anyone here homophobic, but these circles do overlap to some degree.

An obvious example of this overlap was when Trataros on KFTV (who has yet to say something interesting) expressed his skepticism about the trade just after it went down, and then followed up by saying we should get ready to say "pause" a lot this season.

I'm crazy but I'm not crazy. There is something to it imo.

One way of looking at it. But KAT's foul trouble concerns me. Especially with Hack-ah-Mitch in full swing.

Youre 100% not wrong here. Its based in sexism/homophobia that is based in insecurity

Most dudes view women/gay men as weak or inferior. And if a guy has attributes that resemble women/gay they're viewed as weak. I dont. So if someone is zesty I dont view that sht as weak. It shows a lot of courage and strength to be authentic in a world that tries to stifle that sht.

Not sure about this one. You have to expect the Celtics to come out strong but the knicks are also feeling very confident and KAT hasn't contributed with a good game in a while. I think he's due. Celtics will also keep shooting 3s , thibs has to prepare for that.
