Really?

Don’t see a power player at all. More smart finesse shot maker. Think his athleticism peak is average.

Well, he takes a lot of contact and doesn't look like a Garland/tiny player, despite being very short. But you're right, athleticism is average. The handles and finesse are up there, though.

gotta admit, I don't know how to interpret this. Is it good or bad to pass with one's weak hand?

It’s definitely good. But not essential. Note that the best passer in the draft - Demin - is near the bottom. Whereas probably the second best passer - KJ - is near the top.

But more skill is better than less skill.

Interesting comment that NIL has crushed the depth of the 2nd round, more of the Intl guys going to college instead of NBA. Never really thought about that...makes sense. I thought 2nds were useless before, but now...yuck.

He’s one of a very small number of guys projected in the top 15 I absolutely do not want regardless of his “fit” on paper. I do not see it. I see a role player ceiling that can easily be had in free agency.

It’s probably good thing that many second rounders will be more established older guys most just rot on benches for 3 to 4 years.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Great stuff as usual from Vecenie. I think he's the best draft coverage guy out there now and he always thinks of it as what the FOs will do not what he'll do. Like he said he would draft Maluach, but he knows the Bulls FO and AK and AK will probably draft Derik Queen which is 100% spot on.

Dirty work, hard hat, lunch pail type.
    Plays good defense.
Doesn't foul a lot. Amazing for a young big.
Patient = Doesn't fall sucker to pump fakes.
    Always have both hands up.
Knows where he needs to be = high IQ
    Loves to challenge shots.
Knows his lane. He's not going to be out there jacking up stupid 3 pointers. He loves to camp in the paint. Scores in the post.
Pretty good facilitator. Knows how to look and hit the open man.
Not a liability at the free throw line.
    Sets good screens.
Similar to Al Jefferson, Jahlil Okafor, Kevin Love, and Zach Randolph. Hell no. Sorber actually plays disciplined defense. None of those guys listed ever did that.

Thomas Sorber doesn't jump out of buildings. He's no lob threat.

Asa Newell screams Wendell Carter to me.

Been there, done that.

Really need those combine measurements, I've seen everywhere from 6' 9" to 6' 11" which is a world of difference for a pure center.

You mean in the sense you project him as a role player or do you mean in their games?

Yeah, it could be a win-win. There will be fewer players in the draft in the short-run because NIL is new, but at some point, it’ll even out because it’ll become more normal to stay and each draft class will end up going back to having a normal amount of talent, but more developed because they stayed in school longer.

Khaman Maluach is awful (maybe mediocre at best) on defense and his ball handling is almost non existent. Khaman doesn't know how to look for the open man. He gets winded quick, too.

Give him the ball to create a basket for himself in the post? That's not happening.

It's a mystery why he's ranked so high.
