Didn't debut in the playoffs until he was in his 30's, last season. Sucked. And sucked until game 7 this season. Has went off the last 2 & locked down.

We'll see if it sustains. But I guess it's never too late for just about any player to change their narrative then (Harden?!). Unlike Hali, it's easy to feel happy for him bcuz he actually is a likable guy.

Is the thing we usually associate with Spoelstra, getting the most out of role players in the playoffs, actually a Jimmy Butler energy thing?

Well we could have found that out for ourselves, if we worked hard on a Jimmy Butler trade instead of Kyle Kuzma.

I assume this means they want to use his salary slot in a trade.

Lol... Yeah i mean keeping in mind we have no idea what those negotiations were like, only the end result, sure, im betting it was a matter of working harder. Grind harder, Horat!

Nah, GS has always had absolutely incredible role players help carry them throughout their entire dynasty going back a full decade. Botching all their high draft picks after all their great role players aged out was a big reason GS derailed from even further success beyond just the Klay injuries.

Role players playing exceptionally well is almost always due to coaches putting guys in limited roles that maximize their skillset. Obviously it's easier to have a more minimal role when there are more stars around doing more on the court, but it's a coaching thing to get those players to stay within the smaller role and not try to do more, especially when players are capable of doing more and want to do more.

I know it won't be but the results of the second round so far really should be a reminder that none of us knows ****.

Although I know it's not this simple, I think it's worth continuing to mention that 4 total games separated the 2nd and 8th seeds out West, where most of the turbulence has been. Aside from OKC, we're talking about toss-up matchups, not real upsets IMO. The craziness has moreso been the way the games have been playing out as opposed to who is actually winning.

Indiana/Cleveland obviously does not apply here, but there's weird **** there too - like Cleveland missing two starters and their sixth man, and Indiana having the 4th best record in the league since 1/1.

It could also be a reminder that these teams are not that far apart.

And when some of these teams are faced with repeater hell sporting $200+++ million payrolls for a handful of players, that could change in our favor even more.

I could be wrong but I believe the front office was more worried about it getting under the second apron and having flexibility in the off-season over another all in move.

Well if so, they better make the right moves this off-season.

4-17 for Tatum and missed a wide open corner three that would've likely ended the hopes for another NY comeback.
