Pierce pooped his pants, was wheelchaired out, and was still able to return to the game. KP must have something worse than skidmarks-inducing illness.

You're likely right. IF he can stay on the court.

It's frustrating but he came back from injury last year to help us in the Finals. I don't question his commitment to the team or his selflessness. It was only a game 1 loss that they had a 20 point lead in for a team that's now 20-5 in the playoffs these last two years so not exactly panic meter time for many yet. And players who are supposed to be better than him played terribly last game too, so even if you are inclined to put some heat on him he's still down the list

Yeah, for sure it's not far fetched to think he can come back and have a great playoff run. Honestly - the Magic series was a tough one for KP because he just is not built for that kind of physicality. But that by no means is indicative of how he will likely play in the future.

He's still needed in a big way. I thought he was going to be instrumental in the Cleveland series, but now it doesn't look like the Cavs will definitely be in the ECF. Either way - he NEEDS to play in the finals against OKC. He will be extremely important then.

Kap that's two issues, and they both involve consistency.

He is never consistently available and his roller. Coaster of great, bad is all over the place.

Not true. Last playoff run, when healthy, he was consistent and a force.

Because we'd be awful people to do that for a guy suffering from some sort of long-term, limiting medical issue?

This is silly... There is obviously something wrong with him... He loves it here and it's obvious that something is going on with his health... Rumors are he's experiencing vertigo.... Which if true.... Balls of steel for being on the floor.

First % is total games played, second is total minutes played (I just used total games at 48 min).

Porzingis: 62% / 40%
Embiid: 64% / 43%
Davis: 76% / 55%
Gobert: 86% / 55%
Brown: 85% / 55%

Porzingis minus year of torn ACL: 64% / 43%
Embiid plus first two years missed due to foot: 54% / 34%

This is just some quick basic math so take it with a grain of salt because it's just raw numbers and me putting them into a spreadsheet. Thought Embiid and Davis were decent comparisons being around the same height and both considered injury prone. Though I'd decide to throw Brown in the mix since he's not quite an ironman like Tatum but more of what you'd expect and then Gobert for good measure. So yea he's usually good when he plays but availability is a really good asset to have and it's kinda lacking.

You know they have the best access to all types of medical staff available and they can't even figure it out. The guy is cursed plain and simple.

He isn't getting heat because everyone knows this is who he is.

This stuff is tricky, and a lot of the science on it is quite new.

E.g., my wife is being treated for something that was only discovered 20 years ago.

Even the basics aren't well known. E.g., I embarassed myself today in her hematologist's office by thinking that anemia is iron deficiency. Despite the natural connection(s), that's not actually true.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".
