Re: PG: DO YOU BELIEVE NOW?
Chanel to the rescue by holding Mikal accountable all year and lighting a fire under him!
What a game by Bridges. The shot-making and the defensive plays were absolutely fantastic.
And when you observe Tatum's loose handle on the final play and you contrast it with Brunson's puppeteering with the ball, you can see the advantage we have in a close game. We have the best closer, so we can feel comfortable in a close game.
Our team has more soul too. The Celtics are a great team because they follow the data but they can seem robotic and hopefully that extra bit of grit that we have can take us over the top. We'll always have that character so long as Hart and Mitch are on the team.
Salute to our boys.

Re: PG: DO YOU BELIEVE NOW?
Mazzula's use of the Hack a Mitch was stupid. Why run it immediately in the 4th when you know you'll see the penalty?
That is dumb. And now that Thibs haa outsmarted it Mitch can play more of the game. Give Thibs his props. He has been on one this series and Brunson has been getting everybody involved early and taking over ar the end. Look at OG as a result. This is who he wanted to be in Toronto.
And Hart's cutting this game was a thing of beauty.
And Mikal has dusted off his old defensive persona and sacrificed the pretty offence.

Re: PG: DO YOU BELIEVE NOW?
With 8 mins left in the game Pritchard hits a 3 putting the Celtics up 16...the Knicks could have just let it go and not fought to win this game. They would have left Boston still feeling great accomplishing what they needed to do to give themselves a chance to win the series by splitting the first two.
Remember when fans bemoaned how this team wasn't like last season's team and yearned for the feeling that team gave them because they had no quit in them. I have a simple question for those that might have been one of those fans...still lack that feeling?

Brown couldn't overpower Brunson a few times he went at him in the post that 4th quarter...Brunson a bully.

Brunson is one of the strongest dudes in the league for a guy his size. He took that charge like a champ when Brown tried to yam it on him. He literally will post up guys 6-8 inches taller than him with ease. He does not shy away from contact.

Re: PG: DO YOU BELIEVE NOW?
My apologies to Mikal. He was pretty awful the first 3 quarters, but summoned prime Kobe in the 4th.
2 back to back game winning defensive plays. My praise will be as loud as the disrespect I gave him.

Re: PG: DO YOU BELIEVE NOW?
I still think it’s wild that Mazz intention hacked Mitch when they weren’t even in the penalty.
He got them in the bonus by wasting 2 fouls, and then Thibs subbed Mitch out for OG.
A masterclass in what not to do.

Is that a win for the Thibelivers ? Lol
Anyhow no excuses, you guys are playing with the heart and grit of potential world champions.
Josh Hart really is underrated, he is what kept you within striking distance, KAT awesome and then Brunson did what he always does. Come up big in the clutch.
This team plays with the heart of the 99 Knicks yet I think there is a lot more talent that I didn't realise until now.
I acknowledge Cgf from the general board saying the Knicks are a better team that I assumed and will cook in the playoffs.
Happy to see the maligned Mikal Bridges get some Props for his final quarter and match winning steal at the end.
Absolutely filthy at my Celtics but generally happy for you long suffering Knicks fans (despite the hate both cities have for each other)
Can only imagine how loud game 3 at MSG will be.
Have a great night folks (I won't lol)

Once Mitch checked in at 4 min mark of the 1st the entire game changed.
