They didn't learn from the first game and literally did the same thing, why would they learn something now?

Wild to me they just played a series attacking thy rim a ton. This series with 20 point leads they are allergic to the paint..absolute idiot coaches and players.

Yup. Game 1 or 2 were literal carbon copies of each other: They were up by 20 points, shot 25% from three and could not score in the 4th. It is mind blowing this team has no plan B when threes are not falling.

even when he went to the rim he missed em

JT needs to work on his ball handling skills. He gathers the ball too early on the dribble. He doesn’t have the ability to finish through contact. A slight bump and his shot is gone. That’s why he doesn’t get too many and1’s. Shot making is average at best. Doesn’t use the back board for easy two’s. Takes terrible turn around fadeaways against smaller opponents. Addicted to the 3ball, and mentally weak. He has excellent games, but would lay an egg on the next one. There was a video of him pre playoffs practice with the assistant coaches. He was actually practicing chucking 3’s with two defenders on him, and funny thing, he was bricking most of them. If he doesn’t show up next game, his legacy would be tainted.

tbh if we'd just shot 60 threes in game 2 we'd have won by 14 lol

Honestly, he is vastly superior.

But to me, we already have a head coach currently sitting on our bench.

And Taylor would be an ideal lead assistant to him.

This is how we are, always been like this. Not saying I'm not worried, but it seems like we need some kind of kick in the ass to take things seriously and not just jack up threes all game thinking it's going to work out every time.

Celtics main issue is on offense in my eyes. I think it's easily corrected by taking care of two issues.

1. Stop walking the ball up the court. This plays right into the Knicks hands by allowing them to set up their defense in the halfcourt.

2. Less of the Killer Whale Offense and more movement. The Celtics search for the miss match and combined with walking the ball up the court it normally leads to a player going ISO with 4-5 seconds left on the shot clock. Very easy to guard.

Push the ball!

Two other points. Stop the silly Robinson fouling and make open shots.

Our guys acted like we didn’t win it all last year. No sense of pride at all. Weak mentality! What’s worse, knicks weren’t playing that good. Brunson was playing awful, but we can’t deny he is clutch. He literally carried his team to victory. Taking it to the hole against horford and brown. Getting that foul and sinking his free throws. Just imagine them playing at home. Getting the calls from the refs. We might be the one that gets blown out, and we don’t have the mental toughness to come back like they did.

2 more things.
1.Why JT stops going past defender when he can do it clearly. He just takes one/two steps back and shoots.
2.Why after we get O rebound first two things we do are-We are taking step back so we can shoot another 3 when can simply shoot midrage jumper.
Its like we only think about 3s.

Same here. Still pissed from the 1st game, and now this. They have a good chance to repeat, and they blowing that chance by being dumb, stupid and scared. No fight at all! Tatum looked scared and lost. No sense of urgency. No killer instinct. If we go down 0-3, i hope we get swept. At least changes might happen.

You can’t blow an 84-68 lead with 8:40 remaining. Had they made a couple of shots the Knicks don’t get back in this game. A 23-6 run by the Knicks to end the game is ridiculous. We should not be losing to this Knicks team. I am sick. Migjt have to change the roster.

He can’t dribble past them. He doesn’t have the ability to get to the basket through his dribble. When he gets past them, he gathers the ball early, and then do some euro. If only he could dribble all the way to the rim, nobody can stop him. Sadly he can’t. He also doesn’t have the ability to just stop and pull up a jump shot. He needs to post up then do a stupid turn around fadeways.

Watching them makes me want to puke. Imagine having a 7pt lead with 3mins remaining. JT was all alone in the corner 3, with no defender infront. He could literally dunk that. Or drop or lob to horf. Instead, he can’t resist to jack another wide open 3. Bailing the knicks defense. That coild have been a 9pt lead. With breaking the knicks momentum. He is playing scared. Always trying for the homerun. Knicks baiting him to shoot thise 3’s.

If JT remains a Celtic, he will end up the Celtics' all-time leading scorer, surpassing Bird and Havlicek.

If you're implying that Tatum could be considered better than Bird or Havlicek, just because his point total would be higher, you'd be completely wrong.

No, I don't think Tat will be better than Bird.
But Tat will not be far behind.

We could use the 2 days off to regroup.

Return to Boston Celtics
