Wouldn't Houston just be better off re-signing Adams? They could easily shed or consolidate some of their younger guys.

If I were them, I'd retain FVV on a lower deal, re-sign Adams, then send Brooks to a different team in a trade to open up minutes for Eason. I'd also send Green out and get a 3&D sniper at the SG position. Play through Sengun and Thompson and surround them with defense and shooting.

For NYK, I still like Mitch plus Deuce for Rui plus 2nd rounders. Or we could retain Mitch, extend Mikal, and then look for a guy like Shroeder for the TAX MLE. Bolster the bench and move Hart to the bench... Re-evaluate at the next trade deadline.

I don't know if Sengun and Adams can share the floor (although they shared in the playoffs). Otherwise, he would be a 10-15-minute reserve when Sengun is healthy, while he is not a long-term solution, considering the age gap between him and Amen/Sengun. I also don't know if Adams is happy with the role or location. If he is not, he can prefer a lower salary to play for a bigger market like NY or LA.

Houston can also move Green (who is younger and more valuable) and keep Brooks as a SG.

Another trade could me Mcbride for Whitmore straight up.

The rockets have a desperate need for shooting and have minutes in their back court where McBride could come in and be a backup combo guard. Also while we might like Deuce. We need a wing off the bench and Whitmore is an off the bench scoring type of player Also moving Deuce gives Kolek more backup PG minutes.

Deuce is gonna make it hard to trade him if he keeps looking like this

the little guy certainly isnt running short in confidence despite having a bad spell for most of the year, while playing above average defense

I ain't ready to start singing Deuce's praises. Too many empty games with empty stats and empty impacts. But if he somehow shows up this series, all will be forgiven

We need him to continue to cancel out Pritchard.

I dont know how or if it can work under some creative maneuvering by Allar under the new CBA but if possible......

1. Trade KAT and our 1st round pick for Giannis. I love KAT but its Giannis we are talking about here. He is a defensive force as well as just amazing 30 pt a game scorer.
2. Trade McBride and whatever else to bring DiVencenzo back. He is not having a great year there and they may be willing to take McBride since he is better defensively. If DD gets back playing like he did here , he would replace KATs 3 pt shooting for us quite nicely.
3. Keep Delon Wright. He really is a great Thibs system defender and he showed a decent enough 3 ball here. He has length and can ball handle.
New reality of Son ship!

The KAT/Giannis thing would need to include Pacome or Kolek for cap purposes and we don't have a real 1st to trade.

The second trade requires either Hart or Mitch to make the money work

Regarding the 3rd, we will likely have 2 minimum slots, our 2nd rd pick on the Hukporti type deal, and most of the tax MLE to round out the roster.

I mean why wouldn’t they do McBride and Dadiet for DiVincenzo? I think I’d absolutely do it if I was them.
