OKC would absolutely steamroll either GS or Minny. There’s levels to this

You really don't think minny can give okc a hard time?

They'll have the best player* in the series and their bigs are more physical than okcs. I think minny has a legit shot at coming outta the West now that steph is out. I sure dont think it's a foregone conclusion they'll just walk through em.

*sorry meLo Im talking about Ant not Jules

Butler is gonna give them a playoff Jimmy 40 points type of **** and Buddy heal will catch fire in one of the games. This is not over. I expect this to be 2-2 when Steph comes and then its a series.

A1 from day 1

In this house we ride with Ant. We dont support unethical hoopers, who steal jokic's mvp and cant get out of the 2nd round.

Ant just takes too many threes for a guy that should be living at the line, makes me think he's not that bright, even now he's taking 9 a game and shooting 32% on them in the playoffs. All that athleticism Ant has and SGA gets to the rim more and finishes at a higher percentage.

Look, if you speak of his foul mechantry, game recognize game. If you speak of his craft, of his masterful footwork and guile, again the Son of Rick Brunson springs to mind. A man who can control tempo and pace and makes the right plays. These two have come along side by side from the 2018 draft, both overlooked. True hoopers without the hops to choose violence over craft but who still dominate the sport. When I say I like SGA, it's a reflection of who we are. Embrace yourself, Guano. Choose yourself.

It's all on him, he hung out with Steph in the summer and decided that's who he wanted to be. If SGA had Ant's athleticism, we'd be talking about him like we do 1988 Jordan.

I just believe SGA is better than Ant and that their Robin is better. iHart/Chet will cause problems for Rudy and Caruso/Dort can be thrown on multiple players in various coverages. Guys like Wiggins and Joe will also pop off for some big games. On the other hand, McDaniels and Reid would have to play extremely well and DDV would have to get his mind out the gutter because he looks worse than Wayne Ellington. Another issue I’ve seen is that so many times this year Minnesota has been horrible at home. Of course it’s playoff basketball and anything can happen so break out the popcorn.

See, im not objective or rational and im often hypocritical when it comes to being a knicks fan. Im sure all that is surprising because I come across so well put together. But trust me, it's true. With that out of the way. Brunson is perfect. His physicality and ability to draw fouls is artful and a mastery of controlling space. To compare a flopping foul merchant like sga to him is blasphemy. Especially when sga isn't even as good as Ant.

But he doesn't. He is a unethical foul baiting merchant.

Once ant taste defeat a few more times coupled with all them kids inspiring him it's over for the league. Or he'll crash out cause he is a lil crazy. Either way ants athleticism and hubris > sga ft hunting

I don't care about ethics, just win, I root for heels. This isn't about the humanity of basketball players, if we win because Josh undercuts Tatum, and he fractures his wrist, I will not care in the slightest bit. I may say that's a shame, but I won't mean it.

If Jalen goes to the line and foul baits us to a title, I shall not care, I only care when we're on the receiving end of it.

That was slick as hell. No one has ever said Randle sucks in a more discreet way.

I tend to agree with you on okc being a better team but not by much. But I do disagree that sga is better than ant. I dont think sga has the ability to take over and dominate like ant does. If ant can lock in he is better athlete and all around player than sga. And in the playoffs sometimes all that other sht doesn't matter or cancels each other out. Its who has the best player. I think the teams are close match in talent and coaching. And that if it comes down to who has the best player Ant is going to close it.

Same
But I won't ty to even hide it with a "that's a shame" - fck em

But I dont give others that freedom. I hold them to a different standard. Im calling others out on it. My hypocrisy is unbound and unfettered. Whats good for us isn't good for others. Do as I say not as I do type sht.

I just don’t wanna see Ant go the Tatum route of constantly having to rely on step back 3s and ISO jump shooting when the game gets tight. If anything he needs more of the prime Carmelo FOH energy where he truly embraced contact and bully ball. Ant needs to get downhill he’s a freight train.

Agreed, hope the wolves move on from Doug Collins and bring in a coach that will utilize his talents better and get him to take sht a lil more serious without killing the hubris. Cause ant is fun as hell. But a lil too unserious at times.

Julius was a damn pit bull this game. He will get Minny past the Warriors this round and OKC doesn't really have a great matchup against him. He is too quick and too strong for Chet to keep up with. Here is hoping we get the drama of Knicks-Wolves finals.

Return to New York Knicks
