Maguire absolutely merking the Bilbao fullback and playing a blinder of a cross like prime Robben is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen in football

It just makes no sense. None whatsoever. And it's hilarious. And coming off being the CF scoring the miracle winner, it's even better

Today's match was Amorim's 24th PL game in charge of Manchester United, which resulted in his 12th defeat. Just six wins and six draws. Twenty-four points from a possible 72.

If we win cups in back to back seasons while being absolutely terrible, I just don't know what to say.

Will always take the silverware. Lol. We're SO BAD in the PL! Having someone who can score will make a huge difference though, I hope. Won't be so tight and we'll scare teams a little bit more if there is someone who can put the ball in the net.

You are looking at years of bad recruitment.

We finally de-railed the train to fix the problem.

I am excited for what next year will be.

He's been worse than Ten Hag on a points-per-match basis. You could argue it's the new system or, as you alluded to, bad recruitment, but it may very well be a case that Amorim is not the one.

Does this not have familiar vibes to last year with Ten Hag doing poorly in the league but winning the FA Cup? To me, it only "looks" better because the FA Cup is replaced with Europa League, which brings CL.

Great win today. Sucks we have to play Tottenham though, but we need to win the final. I really want us to get into Champions league next year.

Add these to Amorim's collection of unwanted records:

- United have now equaled their worst Premier League run of seven games without a win, back in 1992. However, that sequence included five draws, compared to the current one, which has five defeats.
- Can finish no higher than 13th, their worst league campaign since they were relegated from the top flight in the 1973-74 season.
- Hammers' first league win at Old Trafford since 2006-07.

The list isn't as bad as Ten Hag's, however, it continues to grow...

Must win tomorrow. I don’t think we get any good signings if we don’t get into Champions League.

This season was just awful. I’m starting to worry we hired the wrong manager.

Starting?

He's been statistically worse than Ten Hag. He put all his eggs into the EL and lost. Unfortunately for you, Manchester United is in such a rough place that they cannot afford to fire him and hire a new manager.

Of course it's both.

The season started off poorly by simply hanging onto Ten Hag and backing him to the amount you did. Once he was fired, the second mistake was bringing in a new manager with a completely different system to current set of players. You follow that up with one signing in the January window. To top it all off, the new manager refused to change his style to play to the strengths of the players.

A mess all around.

Never said I liked the hire. I wanted Thomas Tuchel. When they hired Ruben Amorim, I was hopeful to see if the team could change under him but it hasn’t.

Time to sell the team. INEOS isn't working. They get wrong with keeping ETH, they got it wrong with Dan Ashworth and looks like they got it wrong with Amorim. But worse the club is broke and they can't afford the money it will need to really overhaul the club. This is the most bleak its looked post Fergie.
They should never have bought a stake in the club if they knew they didn't have the money to fund transfers

Delap might not even come. Why would he choose us over Chelsea with CL. UTD is a mess, unless you are a boyhood fan you go to other teams if you have the option. There's no telling when or if UTD's decline will ever turn around
