Brunson is already better than Kyrie when it comes to leading a team. Again, it is crazy to think Dallas went from Brunson and Doncic to Irving and Davis.

i would agree with this. if it wasnt for that nets letdown, that was lead by him id have him much higher tho.

brunson is a waaaaay better leader, much more professional and determined. he has a way better mindset.

kyrie is more talented, more exciting and probably a better basketball player going blow for blow. but brunson just seems like the guy i would rather have on my team for the intangibles. so its really hard to compare and i really love kyrie and im probably one of the more loyal supporters. but he has orchestrated the nets and let them down when they needed him, he couldnt fit with that young celtics team and they performed better without him. i dont know how he wants to scratch that off his legacy.

i believe someone can be better but not have a greater moment. kyries 2016 finals were absolute peak, not many players beat that as you mentioned. but there are a lot of players i would consider better.
im bout dat action boss

It's why I have guys like Dame or Brunson well above him and it's not much of a contest. Those two did/have done way more when they were their teams best player than Kyrie ever has in the same position.

I kind of have to agree with this. It’s the same reason why I have T-Mac over guys like Melo or Durant or I have Kidd higher than some pgs who may be more “skilled” or dynamic. Team results (and context of course) matters and both Kyrie and Melo have some squads that really underachieved or were bad. Now I know people will say who did they have with them at the time but I’ve seen some players literally drag their teams at least to 40 wins.

Not really they're very similar players and Kyrie was essentially brought into be the Brunson replacement. They're rivals.

Wait what did Dame accomplish that Kyrie hasn’t? I’m a Blazers fan, and I’ll wait

He led a team to a conference finals as the best player on the team…. Kyrie hasn’t ever made the playoffs as the best player on his team. I’m a Blazer fan, but also an NBA fan. I respect leaders on a roster more than I do accolades. Awesome Kyrie got a ring… after LeBron carried his ass there lol

Really hate questions and threads like this.

There will always be a bunch of players not worth ranking and caring about whether they are above or below each other... only the champions and dynasty stars are worth the conversation and effort. Kyrie and Brunson aren't on that tier....

Kyrie has never been as good to what Brunson is right now.

Not even remotely close.

I still can't believe I never made this comp before you did the other night. Two of my favorite players of the past decade or so. Even the way they carry themselves is similar.
BAF Clippers: Great Team. No Future.
PG: SGA | Coleworld
SG: Big Ragu | Podz
SF: Kuminga | Thybulle
PF: KAT | K. Williams
C: BroLo | D. Sharpe

Deep Bench - Merrill | Craig | Reath | Saric | Lowry

Yup, beyond the late game heroics, it’s how they carry themselves. I respect great players like Kobe and MJ, but those guys constantly had to tear others down. Ant is trying to make himself that.

I respect players who have that killer on court instinct, but aren’t disrespectful. You can be confident but you’re there to be a professional. Jalen is that to 10000% just like Dame is.
