Sounds like they are running it back (meaning Herro/Bam are their best players)

It's good to get a heads up to not get invested.

I think hes naturally gifted at it. Get some experience and let him get some shots up.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that Riley said Butler team foiled the trade market and their hands were strapped because Butler only accepting a trade to Warriors

We also tanked for Yao, but got Carron Butler in the process.

That trims the roster down and keeps the ball in the hands of those who need it.

Load manage KD to where he only plays 2nd halves?

I can’t see the Sun's accepting that. The other issue is that trade puts us near the tax and makes keeping Mitchell difficult as well as killing the dream illusion mirage of 2026 when you factor KD and his extension. We are not in a good spot honestly.

You can tell he is bothered by the age question and his mental state jokes. There was nothing negative he said. However, you can see the age is catching up with him. He is slowing down, his great speaking chops and charisma is fading. I don't feel Pat need to retire, however I think a new public team voice is now needed. And I think its time for Zo to step in and be that media public voice.

I don’t think we watched the same presser he sounded sharp

It's funny, I posted like a week ago that those were the two drafts we tanked in, funny to see Riley actually confirm it.

I dunno that we tanked for Yao though, if you look at that season we definitely tried. Went out and got Rod Strickland/Jim Jackson/Kendall Gill/Laphonso Ellis, a who's who of 90's almost stars that were all on the backside of their careers, and Zo tried to come back and play the full season too. Just not enough talent, Zo was no longer a near MVP level player, the vet mercs were all somewhat washed, Timmy was gone, and EJ was never enough to really be the guy and carry a team.

I haven't watched the presser but unless he's had a sudden cognitive decline very recently I doubt he sounded bad.

I'm not a fan of how eager some are to get him out of town, people really don't understand how easily this franchise can slip and become irrelevant, another Hornets or Pelicans or Hawks. Just because "it's Miami" doesn't solve that, look at the Dolphins/Marlins. Miami is only a bonus as a location when everything else is top notch/competitive. Or conversely, Orlando should have a very similar advantage for a great landing spot, and look how bad its been for them since Shaq, save for a few Dwight/SVG runs.

Been telling you Bammy. This is the play that made sense all along. Even before the Riley presser. Been steadfast on this move. All the stars have aligned.
