I said it like 5 pages ago. I know OKC fans want to stick with their home grown team but you trade for Giannis and you own the league for the next 5 years.

Exactly. Giannis is 30 and plays a style of basketball that won't age well, but it doesn't matter. He has enough gas left to win at least two or three titles.

Agree with this, they need to get Giannis If they don't win the chip.

Denver winning and Celtics losing is the start of the game trending away from shooting 50-60 3s a game.

If SGA keeps this up he could be heading for an Embiid MVP.

You are supposed to look at it over the a large sample size. He has less help than other superstars. This is just true.

Minnesota/Denver was the real Finals last year, don’t you remember?

You should worry more bout my squad puting you in a 3-0 hole tomorrow. Hell of a game tonight but SGA was Brutal and Denver tightened up defensively in the 4th and OT.

I wish Giannis had guys half as good as Murray and Gordon in the play offs.

He did. But Middleton couldn’t stay healthy and they traded Holiday because Dame is a “name”. Healthy Middleton did everything Murray does and more and easier because he’s taller and a better defender and Jrue did the grunt work and could score like Gordon does.

First Daigs fouls when he shouldn't to stop the play, now he doesn't call a TO when he arguably should have stopped the play.

ISO ball late is a choice. As is 3 shots for Hartenstein but ok...

Weirdest take when discussing the youngest humble team in nba

Only thing people can whine about really is SGA's FT's, other than that it's difficult to hate on them

My only real issue is Dort being Draymond Jr.

Dude is gonna hurt someone with his antics.

If SGA plays better down the stretch they definitely win.

But if jokic plays better too...the nuggets still win.

I know that's a simplistic way of looking at it, but sometimes its just that simple.

Gotta keep in mind though that if SGA outplays Jokic, Murray/MPJ/Gordon could step up to mitigate that. Or that if Jokic plays better than SGA, Holmgren or Williams might be enough together to overcome that deficiency. It's a tough call. If only we had some TNT/ESPN analysts to simplify things for us

SGA has shot under 40% in 4 of 7 playoff games this postseason.

It always surprises me how people don't understand that this is a team game and that great players don't win by themselves.

When people say Jokic has no help, they don't mean he's playing with a bunch of G-Leaguers.
They compare his supporting cast with that of the other contenders in the NBA and see that Denver has a relatively weaker supporting cast.

OKC got killed by Jokic in game one and adjusted afterwards, Denver subsequently adjusted to this and the 'supporting cast' did a great job. Gordon has been amazing all playoffs. All the all time greats have had playoff series where the supporting cast stepped up and won the game, whether it be Jordan, LeBron or anyone else.

I think Thunder's and Daignault's inexperience is showing. On the otherside, Adelmann has done an incredible job for a rookie HC. This Denver defense late 4th and in OT, taking away EVERYTHING OKC wanted to do, was amazing. He had the least amount of talent at his disposal in this game, and he made every last drop of talent they had work on both ends. Murray and AG's games were superb but the coaching has been outstanding.

They're too battle tested. Playing close grueling series with the Lakers/clippers/wolves/etc over the years. They've seen it all. I'm not confident that they will come out ahead either but Thunder isn't winning the series unless they play each game like it's a game 7? Like against the Mavs last season its a dogfight.

Thunder got too predictable with their ISOs late game and their plays never changed. Denver had the perfect defense set up for it and that was the end of the story for this game. It's like Daignault had no other game plan other than the same ISO plays.

Okc is getting tested in these close games where they don’t have much experience. They will need to win some if they want to win a ring. It may not matter for this series but the next one or the finals may be where it bites them.

All those regular season blowouts only help you so much.
