Re: NBA Playoff Games 2025, Non-Celtics
OKC = Western version of us, could easily be up 3-0 right now, lost a big lead game one, questionable/lazy coaching and an inability to score in the closing minutes

I didn't know Joe is also the coach of OKC.
Score tied, 26 secs left, and OKC ball.
Why didn't OKC call a timeout?

Re: NBA Playoff Games 2025, Non-Celtics
Denver uses ball and player movement, off ball cuts and threats from mid-range and the post, so they get a pretty good look everytime down. OKC being down 2-1 is pretty surprising given they almost won 70 games but then, you watch the game, and Denver just gets better looks down the stretch.
Im rooting for Denver to bounce OKC

Jokic 8-25, 0-10 3pt FG
SGA 7-22, 1-6 3pt FG
Generational my azz!
They're as soft as Tatum.

Doesn't matter who wins this series.
The point is Jokic and SGA are not way better than Tatum.

Pacers can't solve a simple zone and give up like a 23-4 run as a result. OKC can't even run a play to get SGA a shot in overtime. I blame Joe Mazzulla

Celtics only team without a win. Let’s hope that changes. Who would have thought.

Just be happy Tatum and brown got us a title. Bird and Duncan never repeated. As you can see in these playoffs it is really **** hard to win games, series and the jays have routinely went to the conference finals. People’s expectations of Tatum is so high as I feel like we are judging him like prime LeBron if he had a bad game. Star players like Tatum will have duds followed by great games. The good thing with JT and the celts is they have a chance to turn things around in New York but the amount of criticism JT has received off 2 games have been absolutely insane.

1 title with this group would be disappointing lets be real. Look at the field. They have beaten some quality teams in the west as well.

Re: NBA Playoff Games 2025, Non-Celtics
Watching DEN - OKC and really impressed by the defense by Braun. I watched many DEN games and saw him become a useful player by getting regular minutes. He singlehandedly stopped Shai on multiple possessions and really bothering him all series long
DEN strategy in the final Q and OT was that Hartenstein will need to win the game for OKC
Another thing is DEN constantly attack the rim with success (not just Jokic), mainly Murray who attacked Dort. This led to either a close to the basket shot/layup or kick outside for a good shot as OKC collapsed to the paint
Nice bounce back win for DEN. It wasn't easy
Edit: Shai deserves the same criticism JT gets. A really efficient scorer in regular season, he isn't delivering and shoots poorly. 7-22 and 1-6 from 3.
Jokic 0-10 from 3 but DEN won so who cares

Jokic is. But that’s not a knock on Tatum. He’s best in the world in my eyes. Agreed on SGA. Too many trying to put him on the tier above when they at a very similar level.

They had only 1 TO left and maybe thought they will get another chance and they were down by 5 or so
It is not like you are down 1 and got JT trapped/play botched with 4-5 secs left

Crazy that SGA gets a blanket pass and maintains god-tier status.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Whoever wins this series will probably win it all. If Denver wins the next one too, it will probably be over for OKC. You cannot beat Denver 3 times in a row in my opinion.

Down by 5?
I just said the score was tied.
This was in the 4th qtr.
Gordon just hit a 3 to tie the game with 26 secs left.
So why didn't the Joe of OKC call timeout?
This is the 2nd time OKC coach made a blunder in the dying seconds of the 4th.
OKC also lost Game 1 because of the decision to keep fouling Denver with 12 secs left in the 4th.

You are right. The OT and regular time mixed in my head and I probably misread your post
No one is perfect (not me, Joe or the Joe of OKC

I must say I don't care about other teams, but our Joe just made a blunder. Down 1 or 2 in both games and not generating a shot in both cases are on the players and the coach. All of them should do better
And Joe of OKC probably gets heat on the OKC board (I didn't check)

They are doing the Mazulla... **** it, it will play itself out.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Not really. Don’t sleep on minnesota. They have handled the nuggets 4-0 this year. 2-2 against OKC.

Anthony Edwards went off on GSW for 36. Need a game like that from tatum in game 4.
