What a crazy game between DEN and OKC. DEN OT win on a Jokic off night. If Wolves beat GSW, we may see a DEN rematch.

OKC with TWO points in OT.
Having so few close games during the regular season has really come back to bite them in their two losses.

SGA is not a playoff guy. Incredible player, but lacking in the clutch.
He is the exposure of OKC now, and long-term.
This just may be our year

We may, but I still doubt it.

I won't consider the possibility of OKC losing to the Nuggets to be a real possibility until the Nuggets get the third win.

Don't care who wins as long as they go 7 with plenty of OT and continue to beat each other up.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

We will be the road team either way.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
The Thunder are one of 7 NBA teams to ever win 68 games in the regular season. 4 went on to win the title. The 73 win warriors lost in the legendary matchup with LeBron and the Cavs. The Boston Celtics lost in the ECF and the Thunder are TBD.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
Hmmm....maybe regular season wins aren't a guarantee for postseason success after all?!

Not a guarantee, but so far 67% of the 68 win teams have won the title. One lost in the finals one lost in the ECF so actually every one of those teams had post season success if making the conference finals can be considered successful. Maybe it does guarantee post season success.

Making the conference finals is grounds for firing, according to some people.

If the conference finals aren't a successful season the Wolves have never had a successful season. Sure you can say only one team is successful each year. I don't see it that way.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
If you think the Wolves have had some poor crunch time offense games this year you should watch the last 5 minutes and OT of game 2 OKC/DEN, my word was that trash offense from OKC.
Nothing but isolation basketball, and to make things worse it was mostly nothing but contested mid range shots.
Denver just completely packed the paint and forced OKC into nothing but contested jumpers from Shai, J-Dub, and Hartenstein.
They were using Ihart in the dunker spot instead of as a perimeter screener and it was horrible.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
Road teams keep winning. I'm calling it a win for Boston up 27 middle of the third. I hope this road team trend continues tonight.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
