What's sad is 85 wins might be good enough to win the AL East, 90 wins for sure, that will get Boone and Cashman added extensions.

Is there any way that the front office can examine whether a player is mentally competent before they acquire him? Analytics cannot measure a player's ability or lack of to handle New York, yet Cashman seems to have a tendency to go after these type of mentally deficient players.

Guys like Williams are unqualified to play for any Yankee team let alone pitch in a high leverage situation, but we have to deal with his constant late inning meltdowns because our GM doesn't have the humility in him to admit to making stupid decisions.

It really irks me how it usually takes the front office months and sometimes years to realize that some of their decisions are harmful to the overall product on the field.

Every year, Boone and the FO have another trash outfielder that they can't let go of, to the detriment of the team. This year, it's Bellinger. Unfortunately, Bellinger has a 25 million dollar PO that will prevent us from signing another FA, but don't worry, we can always make another shytty trade for another bad player.

Carrasco was outrighted, meaning no one claimed him so he's back at SWB. Any one want to bet he will be making a start for the Yankees the next time that 5-spot comes around?

It really sucks how all the other 29 teams in baseball's trash becomes Brian Cashman's treasure.

I was lucky to be at this game and witness the Martian hit 3 HR, but the highlight for me was definitely the guy a few rows behind me yelling, "vamos arroz!" whenever Ben Rice was up. :lol:
