Felt like OKC had no business losing that, nearly 20 more attempts, missed layups, missed free throws, in and out 3s lol.

Is it not possible for a young team to win the title? Not complaining, Thunder got time and assets to win plenty, but man those losses gotta feel awful.

AG still got the Magic in him. Playing like Robert Horry these playoffs.

Denver winning despite Jokic has to have the Thunder feeling sick

His feet setting at 3 point line is so much better. That game replay on last 3 really shows it. Hands set, little jump with both legs shots, perfect position and going straight up to jumpshot. Also not jumping with full force in air like Westbrook for no reason.

Also Murray was excellent. Porter was good as well. Hell, Jokić played worst game this year and they won.

Knightro wrote:The Cavs are way better than the Pacers. They have just had some crazy bad luck with 3PT shooting variance and, of course, injuries.

Cleveland shot below 30% from 3PT just 10 times the entire regular season. They've been under 30% in each of the first three games.

You just know there's a 20/46 kind of game coming for them in the very near future.

Here is one epic data.

From 1997- present day 1643 games had situation where team was up by 7 with 60 sec to play.

3-1460 is final result in favor of team that had lead.

2 out of 3 wins ( in 1643 games) were Pacers this series

Cavs are way more talented but banged up.

I think Pacers were confused playing against a somewhat healthy team for the first time in the last 2 playoffs.

Real story of the game though, Cavs 18 offensive boards, Pacers 4. Pacers shot better than the Cavs and got blown out. Donovan Mitchell more offensive boards than the entire Pacers team.

Pacers better win next game or they are in trouble.

Oh, my bad...I thought Pacers were just some run and gun unit.

The refs really took control of the Pacers and Cavs game. Anytime the Pacers would have some momentum, they'd start calling ticky tacky fouls.

Garland could miss more games. He could barely walk at the end of the game.

Remaining teams offensive & defensive rating from regular season.

East:
1) Cavs - 1# offense - 8# defense
2) Celtics - 2# offense- 4# defense
3) Knicks - 5# offense - 13# defense
4) Pacers - 9# offense- 14 # defense

West:
1) OKC- 3# offense -1# defense
2) Nuggets- 4# offense - 21# defense
3) Warriors - 16# offense - 7# defense
4) Wovles - 8# offense - 6# defense

Conclusion: for contend, your offense and defense have to be elite. Well, if you have Jokić you can be terrible on defense.

Conclusion: Really good teams win championships

Nuggets and Warriors would really surprise me though. Nuggets should surprise anyone, they fired their coach and GM! Butler is super good and helped turn the Warriors around, really unfortunate Steph got hurt. Can't doubt great players like Steph and Jokic at the end of the day is the moral of the story here. Pacers also an outlier here, let's see if they can beat full strength Cavs.

All this for the Celtics to start making 3s and win it all? I personally hope for a different outcome, but wouldn't surprise me the slightest.

I'm so exited for Celtics- Knicks later today.

I don't know, i still think that one, if not both Cavs & Celtics will dig up from their holes. Cavs at least have valid excuse, i have no clue what are Celtics doing.

Baby steps. Top 15 offense will make a big difference for us if we maintain our defense.

Follow that up with getting offense in the top 10. I believe that puts us in the Eastern Conference finals.

Experience, Shooting and Creation are areas of improvement.

I think you can protect our defensive identity by keeping Suggs, WCJ, AB, and JI around Franz/Paolo.

That leaves two spots for offensive firepower plus our 9th/10th spots.

Are an offensive minded guard and an offensive minded rotation piece enough to get this offense into the top 15 by next season?

Yeah. Moe and Suggs being healthy get us close. Replacing Cole with someone like Simons and Jett/Harris with Beasley absolutely.
