The importance of bigs is really being shown in the first round of the series. Rudy Gobert and Steven Adams punishing teams without any capable bigs.

We need to find a Capela caliber big in this draft. Rudy Gobert himself was drafted pretty late in the draft iirc. The same one we got Alex Len in lmfao.

This guy seems most promising if he can somehow drop to our pick. Zubac is comparison and that would be phenomenal if it comes true.

And then this guy below seems like he has Walker Kessler type potential

Funny while hating on Ayton people were saying traditional Cs in basketball are dead, the future at C belongs to players like Siakam. Now Gobert, Adams, Zubac and Kessler have become very important.

Obinna Anuchili Killen
( O.A.K. is basically Toumani Camara/ Dorian Finney Smith). He'll be a super value steal from the undrafted ranges!

His Floor- Dorian Finney Smith

His realistic outcome- Toumani Camara!!

His Ceiling- Pascal Siakim.

The Clint Capela archetype bigs in this draft are Jo'an Beringer (late teens- early 20s), and Johanne Grunloh (mid 40s- 50s' ranges).

The Ivaca Zubac archetype big is actually Vladislav Golden (undrafted ranges).

The Walker Kessler/ Rudy Gobert archetype centers in this draft are Khaman Mulach (top 10 of lottery), Ryan Kalkbrenner (early 30s), and Rocco Zisarky- Gobert (late 30s- early 40s).

*** Pau Gasol/ Sengun archetype center is Maxime Raynaud (mid 30s- early 40s, very possibly could end up late 1st though too)!!

This is the Ivaca Zubac center we need to target from the late 2nd round to undrafted ranges if we don't add additional 2nds and take a center earlier!

Afoul Thiero and Carter Bryant are my top jumbo wing forwards that I'd strongly consider at 29 ( IF we don't add any additional 1sts or some earlier 2nds via trades).

He's very much an OG ANUNOBY archetype. And will absolutely be a two way steal with high end defensive versatility and explosive athleticism at the 3/4.

Michigan state Sophomore prospect Coen Carr! He's a 6'7- 6'8 very explosive clone of Josh Smith (archetype). And he should absolutely be a target for us to track in the 26 or 27 draft! He should absolutely be on Ishbia and Gregory's radar considering he plays for Michigan State too.

If i remember correctly, Ghost and i had a consensus on Ogugua, that Suns should absolutely draft him that year. I'd say we have it again with Thiero. Watched him enough and my only concern is if he proves being injury-prone (like Anunoby himself). If OG had more continuity, he'd be a regular AS by now. Did not see a lot of Carr, so i can not say, but Thiero showed he's not just a physical specimen, that he can ball. Possible diamond in the rough, especially valuable for an aged, dead-ass team like ours.

Another great developmental undrafted center option people should look into for value acquisition without having to spend a draft pick would be this kid:

Yanic Niederhauser ( Penn State) is a long, lanky, thick ( 250 lb) defensive center in the Capela archetype. He's 7'0 250 lbs with a 7'5 wingspan and a 37 inch vertical and projects to be an elite level rim protector.

Currently he's still somewhat raw lacking a functional faceup game or 3 pt shot. But he's got a very high defensive ceiling if properly developed.

Again! Value can he found throughout the draft and even into the undrafted ranges at minimal cost for a team like us short on picks. But the work/ investment (money spent) has to he done aggressively to identify and secure these talents!

I watched a video yesterday with a comparisson between NCAA basketball players and GLeague players and the abysmal difference between the two. I agree. 99% of college players will have like 3/4 years ahead for really contributing,, unless you are Flagg, in which case you will have 1/2 years.
Zubac is in the League since he is 18/19. He had a tremendous year because they are playing with a different system, Kawhi at the 4 and Zubac has excelled at making use of his body and strength while being in shape like never before.
All that for less than 20 million. His agent should have known better...

Thos is why you trade Allen/ CLE 29' 1st to Charlotte for M Williams and the two 2nds to get the 33rd and 34th picks in this draft so you can add Adou Thiero at 33 and Kalkbrenner at 34. That'd give you an upgraded roster of:

Mark Williams/ Richards/ Kalkbrenner at your center position. And Dunn/ Thiero/ UDFA for your 3rd rotation SF ( Obinna Anuchili Killen)??
This would also allow you to take Lendeborg, Riley or Raynaud at 29 to load up your frontcourt with cost controlled talent while also strengthening your center position.

29- Will Riley or Maxime Raynaud.
33- Adou Thiero.
34- Ryan Kalkbrenner.
52- Kobe Brea.

UDFA-
1- Obinna Anuchili Killen.
2- Mark Sears or RJ Felton.
3- Donnie Freeman or Jonathan Pierre.

And adding a M Williams ( Via trade) AND a Kalkbrenner or Zisarky (if Kalkbrenner isn't there at 34) Would now allow you to package Richards in a trade for a PG option.

Maybe package O'neale/ Richards/ Martin (expiring) = 23 million to Washington for Smart= 22 million/ CHI 26' 2nd?

Smart/ Booker/ Dunn/ Durant/ M Williams.
Paul/ Beal/Thiero / La Ravia / Ighodaro.
Gillespie/ Brea/ Killen/ Ighodaro/ Kalkbrenner.

Sion James is absolutely a powerful/ high IQ archetype mix of Marcus Smart (defensively/ playmaking) and Desmond Bane ( offensively).
