Just to jog your memory, OG, Randle and Mitch all dealt with injuries last season. That team + Donte coming off the bench would be punishing this Celtics team, not trailing by 20+ every single game and hoping for a comeback.

As much as I disliked Randle, he bullied the Celtics.

Yeah, he’d really bully them more too and not fumble any balls under that type of ball pressure

If the Timberwolves get to the finals, your point is moot.

Disappointed in the lack of sharpness and in the crowd. The officiating has also favored the Celtics, which is to be expected - it's what the NBA does.

But the Celtics are a machine and they seem to be starting to figure us out. Their bad shooting was not going to prolong for much longer. Mazzula trusts the math and we're seeing regression to the mean right before our eyes. They are creating great shots.

We're also seeing the importance of size in this game. Brunson has to be more incisive and efficient on offense for him to make a difference as the Celtics start to find their footing.

Wildcat wrote:Honestly, F Thibs. I rather keep Mitch out there and get them in foul trouble. Mitch is a **** for still struggling with his FT's, but I don't care. I rather put pressure on Boston than what this team is currently doing. BS.

Mitch should be playing at the beginning of quarters...not to finish them...

They will not do a hack-a-mitch if it will put them in the penalty in the first 5 minutes of the quarter...

KAT has to go back in the post, and we have to pray the ball doesn't end up in Josh Hart's hand for the open 3 pointer.

I think the knicks cut the lead to 12/15pts but wont be able to get defensive stops.

How many times more you have to see Celtics choke a 20 point lead to believe?

This game really isnt different than any of the 1st two games except that Celts are making the 3s they normally make. Under Thibs coaching if they are making their 3s like this we are going to get demolished. I would be playing Delon Wright in the 2nd half. Hes got length and is an EXCELLENT perimeter defender. And can hit a 3 when open more than Hart or McBride can (if he plays anything like he did before Thibs stopped playing him when guys got healthy)

It's honestly shameful that diehards are priced out. The crowd energy is ass too. Feels like Barclay's. :noway:

When I was at Game 6 of the 1986 World Series at Shea the stadium was full of people who got tickets from their companies. Even though it turned into one of the most epic games in baseball history and the place exploded in the final innings, Shea was dead quiet until then. The Mets were down by a run in the 7th inning and 25% of the crowd headed for the exits and I was yelling at them WTF are you going you losers? More than half of the attendees were not really fans. Probably the same thing here. Hedge funds and comp tix from work.

Teams need to do a better job of getting actual fans in the stands. Discount blocks of tickets for fans, maybe do it by proof of income (kinda invasive tho) or something

Yeah, because a dweeb like you said so. You don’t even have a point if the Knicks lose this series.
