It's honestly shameful that diehards are priced out. The crowd energy is ass too. Feels like Barclay's.

When I was at Game 6 of the 1986 World Series at Shea the stadium was full of people who got tickets from their companies. Even though it turned into one of the most epic games in baseball history and the place exploded in the final innings, Shea was dead quiet until then. The Mets were down by a run in the 7th inning and 25% of the crowd headed for the exits and I was yelling at them WTF are you going you losers? More than half of the attendees were not really fans. Probably the same thing here. Hedge funds and comp tix from work.

Teams need to do a better job of getting actual fans in the stands. Discount blocks of tickets for fans, maybe do it by proof of income (kinda invasive tho) or something

I'm already halfway out the door due to the nature of modern sports, the gambling, the reffing, now this. I'm pretty much done with all of this.

The only thing I have left is a lifelong devotion to the Knicks, but I'm finding it hard to keep that separate from my general disdain for the NBA as a whole
