Knicks should be running the Celtics off the 3 point line at all costs. When a team shot better from 3 than 2 you did something wrong defensively. Tatum only made two 2s and one FT. If he beats you with drives /midrange etc so be it.

Don’t give a team that wants to jack up 3s so many open looks.

A bunch of horrid shots. The defense held on again, they just didn't shoot like .335 from the field, which they did the past 2 games.
Best adjustment was playing Pritch, it's a decent matchup for him in this series.
Porzingis still looks unwell(I hope he's okay, ball is ball, but health is the most important thing and I wish him well).

The Celtics got in trouble for taking their foot off the gas in the previous games. Today, they had their foot on the Knicks necks and never relented.

That not what happened from my perspective they ran it up 30+ something so even when the Knicks gained momentum it was out of reach. It’s why the Knicks are saying they have to play with more urgency. You got to get the score closer at the end of quarters.

I also think they cheated a bit on defense and did do drop coverage at spots. Idk if they were sort of tired or just saw that score get run up and decided to not kill themselves defensively, but we’ll see you game 4.

Pritchard was so good for them today. Every time we made a run it seemed he'd hit a three or another basket to stop the momentum.

the thought behind "live by the 3 die by the 3" is because its a streaky self imposed do or die shot. the idea behind running a shooter off the line is because you dont really want to foul him

Yes I watched those games just as I did this one. Celtics shot 25% from 3 in both of those games.

When you made the comment, it was in the 4th quarter just after Pritchard hit a 3. The Celtics were 1/1 in that quarter at that point and shooting over 50% from 3 as a team at that point. They finished 20/40.

I thought about 35 of the 40 threes today were good looks. Why would you turn down open looks when you’re shooting the ball well? Completely different to the first 2 games where they couldn’t hit them.

there is always a potential to shoot yourself in the foot with 3s at any given time

if you are ahead by 30 and for the rest of the game you shoot only twenty five 2s youll'll prolly get 25 sure pts and that doesn't include free throws. so the 30 pt lead in reality ends up being an impossible 55 point deficit for nky to ovrrcome in a little over one quarter left,,,,,and you didn't even breal a sweat.

in fact let LET NYK shoot themselves in the foot trying to mount a comeback. for every 3 they make at best, you still are countering with the better % 2 - that's a "1pt at a time" comeback on a 55point deficit
