The Thunder is going to have to sacrifice defense for offense.

The Nuggets don't respect the jumpshot of anybody on the floor right now.

Shai needs to play with more shooters if the Thunder is standing around waiting for the ball.

Dort, Caruso etc. can make those open 3's with consistency, they just haven't fallen tonight. whose to say Joe would hit those? they need to keep shooting those shots.

OKC suddenly can't shoot at all

They never could really shoot. They played stifling defense and got out in fastbreaks and relied on SGA to warp defenses in the half court with isolation.

It's easy to get wide open shots when you play suffocating defense, get out in transition and have the best ISO player in the league on your squad making defenses make the decision to double or get torched.

Now the Nuggets decided they aren't gonna let SGA do his thing and these guys were only 36% shooters on relatively low volume.

A shooter is someone like Buddy Hield. These guys that only make 36 from 3 but only shoot 4 times a game from one spot, teams don't fear these guys anymore.
