Short answer, no.

I have Suggs as the much more valuable player, you can plug Suggs in ANY roster and it will immediately translate to wins. Reaves just got played off the court and is a defensive liability.

Suggs is an elite defender, Reaves is not elite at anything.

I don’t think the Lakers have the assets to acquire Suggs let alone adding Goga to the mix.

Now I’m not saying Reaves is not a good player and I would certainly welcome him with open arms in Orlando, but I genuinely think a KCP/Goga/significant pick package would really benefit both teams. Maybe including a third team that absorbs the picks and sends the Lakers a ready now player.

Were not trading Suggs when he is the best player in the trade. ONly way Suggs is traded is for package deal for a studl well-established all star level guard. Not many of those on the market that teams willing to trade. Suggs isn't going anywhere.

Why would Moe agree on that?

Like he can't get some 3 years, $40M from anywhere else? Nets will be first in line to take him. Pistons need scoring big as well.

So the question comes down to is... how much is tje 2nd highest bench scoring C with no defense ( bit with a lot of heart) and is recovering from an ACL ( so missed half the reg season) worth?
His defensive rating wasn't bad. I'm not sure what it'll look like after the ACL. We definitely need some more offense off the bench next season.

Ummm... he played matador on defense. I mean his defense composes of taking offensive charges.

I don’t think coming off a torn ACL that Moritz is getting anything close to $40M guaranteed.

I would imagine he gets a 2 year deal at most.

2 year deal but everyone knows the 1st year is practically a freebie or are they confident he can make training camp?

Sure.. but OKC is gonna ask Franz at best or Suggs at worst for him.

Suggs is injury prone and while he has value as a high level energy player, he doesn't solve our point guard woes!

Could you imagine the heat our front office would take if Suggs has another inconsistent year health wise?(Especially at his price tag, then he's labeled as this guy, who can't play a full season).

Now, if he were on a more flexible contract...then yes he's a no brainer for this team!

Our front has to look at all avenues to improve this team.

Weltman did say he wants to turn defense into offense.

Not really. I think he also does similar stuff to our 3 guards and wouldn't be all that interested in paying for Wallace even if we did have a chance. We need someone who can create offense and someone who can score a good amount of points at an efficient level. Right now he looks like a defensive glue guy that makes open 3s. We have 3 of those of varying levels and upside.

Orlando and Oklahoma City are not good trading partners unless a third team is involved.

Everything realistically we have to offer they have x10 fold of and they’re big game hunting. Wallace is important for any consolidation trade they have cooking. Topic may be more available (but we have yet to see him play).

I HOPE and think he means that OKC doesn’t need any more youth or picks (what we would offer) so by default they would only be asking for pieces that help them win now…I hope lol

Yeah if we just drafted him a few years ago instead of Anthony Black.

No... like any team in the league, they are gonna overvalur their ypung guys and ask the moon for them despite the rest of the league thinking they are nuts.

Cason for them is a solid PG that defends well and shoot the 3s. You can bet they think he is better than what wr think we have in AB

Suggs is a third option and Franz is an All-NBA talent. Cason is a 3&D roleplayer.

Thats fair, but I do think Cason has shown some interesting flashes as a creator as well, atleast on drives.

Then again maybe he hasnt shown as much of that because the Thunder are so deep?

Either way, the FTr is really low, ast/to ratio is good but only gives so much context, he's an All-NBA level defender, most of his 3's are created for by others if im not mistaken. Interested in what his advanced stats for different kinds of offense and efficiency at them are. Maybe after I eat these wings I'll look em up

Very true, good point

Definitely need a 3rd team

Just tryna throw different names out for players we could look into instead of the same 3 names

1. Decline options on Moritz, Harris

2. KCP+Jett+#16 for Simons

3. Cole+#57 for Bogdan Bogdanovic

4. BAE on Nickeil Alexander-Walker

5. Draft Walter Clayton Jr. #25

6. Draft Trevon Brazile #46

This plan puts us barely into the luxury tax.

I really like #3...I'd love to get Bogi on the cheap...but he makes $16m. Have to ask though...why for LAC?

I like NAW, but isn't he more of the same...3&D wing...that we already have too many of? You trying to block my man AB?

Clippers do this to get younger and cheaper. Essentially a combination of his playoff struggles, defensive shortcomings, age, contract size, and injury history could lead the Clippers to explore this.

Regarding a 3&D wing blocking AB... brother stop trolling.

He is a 3&D PG for OKC... but in another team he could be a starting PG... OKC isnt blind to what other teams might think of Cason.

He is still a sophomore yet shows a lot of promise
