People aren’t gonna want to hear this but I don’t think Donovan is built for when the going gets tough. He’s undoubtedly one of the best scorers I’ve ever seen. Hes helped carry teams to some incredible regular season records. And nobody can deny that we have been treated to some big Donovan playoff moments in Cleveland and Utah (him vs Murray was iconic). Having said that, these 7 game series always tell you a lot about someone. You can’t find it in the basic stats or advanced analytics or whatever acronym metric system you want to use. When Donovan gets punched in the mouth he’s not the type to spit out his blood, adjust his mouthpiece and get ice treatment. If they lose this series he will have had 4 first round exits and 4 second round exits. People also forget Utah won 51 games the year before he was a rookie. He was never a Carmelo before Denver story.

Atkinson at this point just a regular season coach but no reason yet not to think he can get better with more experience. Carlisle also an excellent coach and proven champion who won a title despite being an underdog in the Finals.

I think you guys are overrating the talent. This is the second coach they have, and Bickerstaff actually took a team in Detroit on a scrappy 6 game series against us. We've played him twice in the playoffs now so we can start making comparisons, and I can tell you that I am much more impressed with his Detroit team than his Cleveland team.

Against the Pistons, the story was that they only had the best player in the series. Against the Cavs, the story was they had 4 of the best 5 players in the series. But again, the Pistons showed up much better against the Knicks. So yea...the Cavs might be "talented" but if your talent keeps sucking it up in the playoffs, how talented are you really? Evidently they do not have "too much talent to be getting embarrassed like this" because it's happened several times.

I hate how when a team is getting blown out they automatically get calls in their favor.

Why can’t the Knicks come out like this, and just have one night, ONE FREEKING NIGHT that we bomb away and win going away
I just want ONE NIGHT like that, preferably tomorrow night at the garden

Maybe they’re hurt but I don’t trust Garland and I think Mobley is overrated

Thibs has never been a coach capable of motivating his players to have a killer instinct mindset.

It’s a big gap in terms of flow and willingness to let it fly

Thibs’ scowls add up

Payne hardly plays bc he plays like the Pacers do

Getting 30 balled by the Pacers while Haliburton only has 11 points is brutal

You are comparing the Cavs from 3 years ago to today. They are a much better team today. 3 years ago was their first time together and a couple of their starters were really young. They’ve gotten better and also added a lot more depth. They didn’t win 64 games on accident or because it was a fluke year. They’ve been a playoff team each year over the last 3 years and continued to improve. They completely obliterated the Heat in the 1st round which showcased their teams talent.

Last season losing to the Celtics in the 2nd round was understandable. Celtics were the better team and eventually won the chip. There is no excuse for getting destroyed by Indiana in this series now. This is a massive underachievement.

Well I hope you turn out right but despite some good grit in G1 and G2, we haven’t had a good playoffs

The team looks bad, lbh … and I’m on to something with this Let’s get KAT involved … OK that worked but let’s just do whatever next game

Payne helped win G1 and then is gone for the most part

Doesn’t seem like serious follow-through does it? Then ppl get mad and say we are saying Thibs lets JB be selfish … it’s not that simple but it’s not completely baseless either
